I wish people understood that in order to effectively argue with someone about societal issues, politics, or religion… you have to understand and work within their worldview. You have to use some of their vocabulary. You have to listen to what they say, and try to understand where they are coming from. Ask clarifying questions and allow them to explain their perspective and logic. Recognize their humanity. Respond patiently. Your goal should not be to convince them right away, but to plant seeds of ideas in their head to mull over.

I feel like signs like this of where the web is going are the number one sign to delete accounts on sites like TikTok and start using places that prioritize privacy even if their methods are imperfect. Any nugget of privacy you can get is crucial now.

Install duckduckgo and decentraleyes, use signal or element instead of discord for sensitive discussions, try not to post your face or name at all, and if you do don't do so extensively.

Honestly I love this because it implies that Scooby is just a guy with a bunch of dogs that drag him into trouble then somehow solve mysteries and crimes and he's just there like. My dog has a magnifying glass with her. Why. Why does she have that. And Shaggy (which is such a good name for a dog) is the only one close to acting like a regular dog. I also like to imagine that police will congratulate Scooby on solving another mystery and everytime he has to explain that it was actually his dogs that kept giving him clues and trying to put it together until he figured out what they were trying to communicate but no one in law enforcement believes him so everyone thinks he's a genius detective but in reality he just wants to go about his day, hang out with his cousins and chill with some snacks and his dogs (but 3 of his dogs are determined to solve mysteries and 1 comes along looking distressed everyday)
