The Magma Stone & Charon, Sinnoh Post-Game Concept:
“The Magma Stone: It is a red stone formed when boulders melted in intensely hot magma, then hardened. Magma remains sealed inside.”
Charon’s trying to do research to perform an experiment with his Rotom, which is why you battle him a few times while chasing him through Stark Mountain. He is following the trail of a rather interesting energy reading located in the mountain. It all goes south quite fast, though, as the Magma Stone is discovered to have been part of a meteor that fell from Eternatus as it passed by when crashing into Galar centuries ago. Looker informs the player of this after teaming up to stop it with the player, Charon, and Buck who helped the player get there.
The eruption of energy from the Magma Rock being disrupted and making Heatran Gigantamax spreads across Sinnoh, creating little energy spikes across the region… Thus allowing Dynamax and Gigantamax to be possible in Sinnoh, outside of Galar. There is still much to study and learn about this and to make sure no harm comes to the region because of it. Looker will make haste in putting together a team to study this!
There’s a book in the Canalave Library that comes to mind.. ‘Long, long ago, a mountain erupted and threatened many in Sinnoh, a large white Pokemon showed up to save the people and Pokemon. It towed the mountain away with special ropes until it no longer posed a threat. The people and Pokemon made a home in honor of that white Pokemon, to thank it.’
