So watching the Treehouse Live stream, the E.M.M.I. areas apply a weird light filter over the world. So if you’re wondering why the quality of a lot of the trailer looks like shit, it’s because of that filter. The rest of the game looks pretty good.

Thanks to Castlevania S4, You Can Basically SKIP S3 (Light Spoilers)

What I find so smooth about Castlevania Season 4 is how it almost feels like one 10 episode long apology for the mess that was Season 3, and renders it largely SKIPPABLE. Follow me on this: 

 Season 2 ended with... 

-Trevor and Sypha heading into the countryside pursuing night creatures 

-Alucard isolated in the castle and on the verge of losing his mind 

-Hector captured by Carmilla for the purpose of forging an army 

-Isaac building his own devil army 

 Season 3 ended with... 

-Yes you're correct almost nothing really different, except now everyone is a bit sadder or unnecessarily violated in some way. And we're plus 4 relevant characters between the Vampire Sisters and Saint Germain. 

Now Season 4 comes along, and we join everyone basically either where we left them or continuing from the natural conclusions of Season 2. 

So now... 

-Trevor and Sypha are pursuing night creatures and cultists which leads them to thwart the Dracula resurrection plot 

-Isolated Alucard goes to aid Danesti village which leads him into the resurrection plot 

-Hector forges devils for Carmilla while plotting his escape and contributing to resurrecting Dracula 

-Isaac has built a devil army to get revenge on Carmilla which is just sort of the natural conclusion to that arc 

Even the plot itself in S4 provides a whole cliff notes section with extra content for St. Germain, and gives enough context for the Sisters to understand generally who everyone is and what they're doing. Plus the less context for Sumi and Taka the better...

So great news! Don't like Season 3? SKIP IT. Sharing the series with friends and family? I'm sure they'll enjoy all four three seasons of Castlevania. You'll probably enjoy it a lot more too.
