That’s a fair point. Hundreds of heros, and handful of villains that would help because they live there too, and new heroes popping up all the time. Not to mention any mutants that happen to be there and can help.
Will it make that much of a difference if she eats the taco first?

I wish this story had been written by Jed MacKay instead because it would absolutely have ended with the reveal that Jean DeWolff is helping Felicia rob these places and the two of them are fucking <3

Call this hyperbole if you will but Jed MacKay is the fucking definitive Black Cat writer. He is to Felicia Hardy what James Robinson was to Starman or Greg Rucka writing Renee Montoya. At this point I judge a Felicia Hardy appearance by two criteria
One: Was this written by Jed MacKay? If so, YES AWESOME
Two: Does this feel like it accurately captures the feel of his work on the character? If so, yes awesome <3

Hi, my name is Dahlia, that's not me up in the header image of course, that's my kitty Stormi, I'm not all that comfortable with my appearance so I figured I'd share her cuteness instead.
So I feel kinda uncomfortable doing this, but recently I wound up 3,000 dollars in debt, and I'm required to pay off 300 dollars of it each month. But I really cannot afford to do so all on my own. I barely have any money in the bank to speak of, and my only source of income is 700 dollars a month that I receive from Social Security Disability, which I've been on since I was 18. Normally this 700 is actually just enough for me to get by each month, but now with 300 dollars of it going towards paying off this debt, it's left me in a pretty bad place.
I of course have bills to pay for, including for rent, among other things. And then I also have about a dozen or so medications to pay for, medications that I need for my Depression, Anxiety, and OCD. Along with the ones for my Hormone Replacement Therapy, which I've been on for almost 4 years now.
And so the 400 I'm left with after paying off the debt each month is just not enough for me to get by.
It's lead to me having to borrow from the few friends I have just to get by, and they are all having hard enough times getting by as well, and I don't want to keep putting the burden on them. Especially when they can't afford it either.
So all in all the situation I'm in just has me having daily panic attacks, as I'm just so scared and worried about what I'm going to do, and even with all the medications I'm on, my depression and anxiety has just been out of control lately.
So last night I was talking to a friend about all this, and they suggested I try making a Go Fund Me page. Originally I wasn't sure about that, I mean it's not like I'm in a medical emergency or anything like that. And I felt, and still do feel kinda bad at the idea of asking those I don't even know for help when there are probably people out there who deserve it more then I do. But my friend assured me that things like this, the situation I'm in, is exactly what Go Fund Me is for. So here we are.
I honestly don't know if anyone will even help me out here, I can be pretty pessimistic at times, and since all this got started it's just been so much worse. Plus I know that times are hard for everyone right now. But anything you could spare would help me out a whole lot. Or if you can't help out by donating, please consider sharing this link on any social media sites you use to spread the word. Thank you.

Anyway, do you guys want to see my Cool Rocks?
This is my grandfather’s rock. It is Probably a Garnet, which he mined out himself when he was in college studying to be a geologist.
Though you may assume this is a Small Rock, it is in fact a very Large Rock, and also a very Heavy Rock, but most especially a very Square Rock, which is what makes it particularly cool.
Here we have a rock which used to be a tree. This rock is petrified wood! It was one of my very first Cool Rocks!
Speaking of rocks that used to be things that were not rocks, this rock is Petoskey stone! This rock used to be a coral. Let’s get a good look at those patterns.
Now that’s a Cool Rock!
Amethyst? It’s an Okay Rock. If you are looking for an inexpensive rock to start your collection, amethyst is the way to go. It’s a quartz with a deep purple color. A very nice, if average, rock.
Now citrine… Citrine is a Cool Rock! It’s a quartz with a lovely honey color. This particular piece has been heat-treated. The druzy on my chunk of citrine has a wonderful sparkle.
This is my Amazonite! It grew that hexagon shape all by itself!! This specimen is from Colorado.
Look at this shiny little slice of rock! This rock is Tiger Iron, and those bands of red and orange glow beautifully with some light behind them. These different colored bands are made from Hematite (the dark silver), Jasper (the red-orange), and Tiger-Eye quartz (the yellow-orange).
Here’s a rock you’ve probably seen before! This Cool Rock is Malachite. The patterns and rings are from the stalagmites this little egg was carved from.
Whoa, look at this giant slab of Extremely Cool Rock!!! These crystals formed in the cracks of fossilized mud, to make the awesome patterns in this geode of Septarian! This is my second best rock.
This is my Best and most Favorite Cool Rock. In this dark room it’s a dull little grey rock, but if I move it closer to the light…
Those glints of gold! Those veins of blue! This rock is most certainly Labradorite, which changes color spectacularly when the light hits it just right. Let’s put it in direct sunlight.
Yes!! YES!! There it is!! The Best and Coolest Rock!!!!!

This comic came out in 1999.
Robin’s expression in that last panel is perfect you can almost hear him thinking to himself “What in the good love of fuck did I just hear with my own two ears”
The book is weird as evidently the writer had at least some knowledge of musical history for some of the references he made (the villain is Elvis’ long-lost twin brother, who was adopted by a rich family and became a clone of Colonel Tom Parker, the bloke Tom Hanks played in the recent Baz Luhrmann film), but some of the choices he made were just freaking weird.
Like how Bruce’s hatred of Rock and Roll was due to his dad disapproving of it and apparently due to him hanging around with Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungen back when he was younger, and him deciding that ALL rock music was typified by Sid Vicious being a violent abusive asshole.
Which is kind of like someone deciding that they hated the entirety of the fantasy genre because they watched an episode of Game of Thrones and decided the entire thing was like that in all honesty.
“The book is weird” is probably the most charitable way to describe whatever the hell this story was intended to be and oh my god I’d actually forgotten the whole Evil Elvis Twin plot twist and I don’t know what it says about this book that THAT isn’t the most memorably fuckin bizarre thing about it but here we are O.O;
I mean, the Evil Presley Twin is the titlular Fortunate Son after all, what with his being able to grow up in wealth and comfort while his brother died a toilet-adjacent death in his early forties. Although apparently it’s Evil Presley’s resentment that Elvis, while poor, was able to pursue his dreams of music and fame, while as a poor little rich kid his twin never had the same opportunities (while assuming he must have the same amount of talent, even though Elvis’ influences came from absorbing African American culture from a young age and stuff).
Although, considering how Evil Presley’s plan was to orchestrate a crime spree to manufacture a new Tragic Rock Legend (following Elvis, Lennon, Joplin, Mercury etc.), the evil twin’s desire for his brother’s life seem very surface level.
I will admit that Tom Parker DID swindle the rights to Elvis’ post-mortem career from his dad at Elvis’ funeral, making the books version of Parker kind of on par with the real one.
On the bright side, the Atop the Fourth Wall episode on this story is hilarious :D
