Woah its this goober again. Been fleshing Taff out a bit more. and trying to nail down his colors and attitude. Tafton C. Salt, or Taff for short, is a saltwater taffy dude who hangs around the boardwalk and lives on a houseboat. Taff’s whole deal is trying to be his cool blue self. Hes all about appearing cool as a cucumber to people and tends to carry himself with a ‘devil may care’ attitude. He never starts fights nor does he seek it out but trouble seems to find him nonetheless. When trouble does come along he tries to settle it with his silver tongue, but when that doesnt work it, well, Taff isnt above resorting to more rascally means of resolution. He sails the sea turning seasalt into artisinal sea salt for the kitchen table. His main hobby and passtime is tapdancing and hes not above breaking into song and dance.
Another attempt at rehashing PP's design again. This time trying to give some features that are simple but striking? Tries to make their neck scruff into a bit of a 'cravat' type shape and give their paws and feat a different pattern.
Finally trying to get back into coloring...featuring pink pooka.
To be honest its just been very difficult to know what to say online anymore. I feel like I used to hop on here do a lil jig and go “hyuckaduck thats all folks!” And now I’m just this simultaneously tired and wired lil critter going ‘uuuuuuuuh...” I dont know nothing! Im just this lil dork spinning around in a washing machine of interests and emotions all the time.
I’ve been in quite a rut drawing wise. When that happens I just tend to go back to some of the usual characters like Pink Pooka or Fairy.
Pink came out a little a little more puppety here by accident so I just ran with it.
I was trying to find printer paper but kept finding the nice paper used for printing stickers so I ended up going ‘no I dont want fancy paper I want stupid paper. “
I forgot what printer paper was called so just called it stupid paper instead.
Some old darlings from several months ago. Changed her colors up recently to better contrast with the rest of the cast. Darling, a sweet but shy fashionista who also designs her own clothes. Despite these drawings, her eyes tend to be hidden by her hair or glasses. She also scares easily, whoops.
I still wanna draw some new darling doe stuff but for now have a reblog.
I think what I want to play around more is the fact that Darling comes from very classy background but is trying to break into more groundbreaking fashion (for the time) Attempting to reinvent herself through the clothing she makes.
WAIT! I do have something to share. Its from a few weeks ago but I did a little more exploration and sketching of Tafton C. Salt (Taff for short) my new little taffy toon guy. He lives on a houseboat and makes sea salt for cooking. Hes a very ‘live by my own rules’ and ‘too cool for school’ type of guy but even the hardest taffy can get soft. Nothin makes him softer than the cute popcorn gal, poppy (belongs to @/triniitea on twitter)
Also got some random toon tigers and a little bit more of Skippy, but without the boat head, huh! Just a couple of boardwalk boys.
Hggh. I want to share things again but I have not made anything I feel is worth sharing. But I have saved a bunch of reference photos of dresses for Darling so maybe tomorrow I can somehow make a little art.
Honestly I just like pink pooka so much I just kinda shove them into every style and everything. A puppet, a toon in cuphead world, man anything is possible. Pink rabbit designs are just top tier in general and I have too much fun drawing pink pooka. Uuh I dont know what to say about them though. Theyre mostly tired and try to mind their own business for the most part. But of course that tends to mean that they end up in everyone else’s business somehow. Theyre very chill and helpful but also with a ‘fuck around and find out’ type personality. Sometimes has a cupid type theme cause * shrugs* why not.

A lil sketch tiger for tiger day. Been having fun driving tigers lately, probably the stripes. Okay but silly story time. I liked tigers way back in highschool but told myself I couldnt like them because I was in that edge phase. Thus my brain was like ‘everyone likes tigers, theyre so mainstream! you cant like them like something else!” BUT NO MORE! I will draw all the stripes I desire!!
Okay WOW! I had a thought for a taffy themed toon boy and ended up really liking this design. This is really early stage stuff so Im sure some things will change but overall I’m having fun with this smugass. His name is Tafton C. Salt or Taff for short. Buncha pink pooka doodles inspired by retro toons like cuphead and also some anime as well. If pink pooka was in the cuphead universe I could see them being a bit of a cupid type figure. Cute and well meaning but also probably a bit obnoxious to deal with. Theres a bit of a more passionate side underneath the cute collected exterior. Careful not to get them too riled up or you might get burned with the flames of love.
Publicly: Cuphead DLC was a masterpiece. The animation, designs, gameplay, and music were stellar and definitely my favorite part of this game now. What a great way to incorporate some more spooky elements too. A delight in every sense of the word. Me in my head: Mmm Chef Saltbaker.
Hope ya’ll dont mind photos but here’s pink pooka’s dragon form updated. Been a big fan of disney dragon shape and since pink pooka has gone a little toonier decided it’d be fun to make their dragon form fit the bill. They’re bouncy and squishy and generally pleasant but have that toony caveat of ‘f*ck around and find out”
You’ve met pink, now meet blue...again (sorta) This blue rabbit is much more on the spooky side having ghostly powers that lets them so all sorta of supernatural things like vanish, float through walls, and even turn into horrifyingly goonish creatures. Unlike pink, theyre wild, feral, uncouth. Still a friend just, loud.
Skippy and Huey. Some toon OCs I havent shared in a while. Skippy is a little fish monster guy and whether his ship is a hat or his head is anyones guess. Either way hes a scrappy dude who tends to get involuntarily netted into all sorts of situation.
Huey is a sea serpent and a very supportive albeit spacey fellow. Hes an artist who specializes in water colors. While hes happy to lend a hand hes easily distracted by everything around him. Particularly when hes on land.
Fairy doodle dum. Just been trying to loosen up with them again and have more expressions and emotions. Fairy is usually the type to try and be as sweet and accommodating as possible which means bottling up a lot of other feelings. But when they come out they come out. Though I guess the comedy for fairy is that even when they take on a more crooked mean looking form theyre actually still not exactly cruel just...letting themselves express the anger theyve been penting up. I guess its sort of toon rules with them. Start shit and see what happens.
