hi all, palestine’s going through a mass genocide right now and really needs help, here are a few ways you can do that

  • Caterpillar: Caterpillar bulldozers are regularly used in the demolition of Palestinian homes and farms and in Israel’s massacres in Gaza
  • HP: Hewlett Packard helps run the ID system that Israel uses to restrict Palestinian movement
  • Puma: Puma sponsors the Israel Football Association, which includes teams in Israel’s illegal settlements on occupied Palestinian land.
  • SodaStream: SodaStream home drinks machines are one of Israel’s best known exports.
  • Ahava: Ahava cosmetics are another of Israel’s best known export companies.
  • Sabra: Sabra hummus is a joint venture between PepsiCo and the Strauss Group, an Israeli food company that provides financial support to the Israel Defense Forces.
  • Motorola: Provides Israeli military, police, prisons and immigration authority with communication technology

Please don’t forget that 43% of Gaza’s 2 millions population is under 14 years old (meaning they weren’t even born when Hamas was elected) and that the average age in Gaza Strip is 17 years old and that 70% of the people who live in Gaza are refugees who were already ethnically cleansed from other parts of Palestine by Israelis.

These are the people that are getting bombed by Israel right now “until they burn and there’s complete quiet’” (the words of Israel’s defense minister one day before the bombings) in the world’s biggest open-prison and one of the most densely populated areas on earth without any shelters or bunkers to hide in and are also falsely accused by their killers of being used as human shields as they’re getting killed.

Not sure how one can avoid the dog licking them?

I think the issue with watching the news and relying it on for your information is you give the agency of gathering information and learning about the world around you critically into the hands of others. 

To the point, they tell you what to believe, what to be vengeful about, what feelings to have given a certain people or situation. 

They also control the amount of rage you should have about anything, or what you should hold valuable. 

The common phrase of “what haven’t I heard about the news” is becoming tiresome. 

It’s your responsibility to know, and you should seek out that information and use the tools given to you to critically think about it or not.

I’m kinda confused, if Nick is renting, he has no claim in the property value to begin with? Is he just arguing about the values for arguments’ sake, or is he generally confused how real estates values operate? lol

okay but waking up in the middle of the night to soft rain and knowing you’ve still got hours to sleep, when you’re toasty warm and comfortable & sleep has made you forget all your worries and responsibilities and u go back to sleep feeling as content as ever

idk why in media things about muslims meant to appeal to a wide audience (master of none, ms marvel) there’s always such a hullabaloo about muslims wanting to try pork… i have never met a muslim or ex-muslim for whom pork was even remotely interesting… nobody has ever been like “boy the worst thing about being muslim is not trying bacon.” like even if you eat it accidentally it’s usually the LAST thing a muslim gives up not the first… like “well i’m not a muslim so i guess now i’ll eat pork” not “i wanna eat pork so i will become less religious.”

Rooting extremism is a weird paradox. When you root out something, you have to examine its roots.  Is it political fury, lack of jobs, xenophobia and colonial oppression the true roots as to why people resort to Extremism? 

Or are Muslims suddenly just inherently evil, and when they “know more” about their religion, they become extremist?
