Top: in Super Mario World, Blarggs are always mostly covered up by lava. By disabling the graphical layer on which the lava is displayed, it is revealed that there is one frame in the Blargg’s animation where is becomes a chaotic jumble of random sprites, which would normally be never visible due to happening below the surface of the lava.
Bottom: a close-up screenshot of the frame on which the Blargg’s graphics become corrupted. It appears to consist of graphics of various enemies such as Buzzy Beetles, Chargin Chucks, Spike Tops and Lava Bubbles.
