Rope's Workshop

@simsontherope / simsontherope.tumblr.com

Hey, bienvenue chez moi ! You can call me Rope, I'm a french Sims player and creator. Have a look at my F.A.Q. before Asking. ;)

Welcome here!

Hey ! Hi everyone, you can call my Rope, I'm a 30 years old simmer from the south of France.

On this simblr, I mostly share houses and clothes for male Sims (and some for female too), but also households, hairstyles, or furniture. Sometimes, I also give some tips, about creating sims, editing picture, or managing CC.

I created this Simblr maybe one year before the Sims 4 came out, and I mainly share content to download here, although I do sometimes talk about my Sims, or show some nice pictures made with the game (and a bit of editing in Photoshop).

If you want to download my content, have a look at this page.

If you want to ask me something, check my F.A.Q. first. ;)

I hope you enjoy your visit here!

Families and Townies update

I've updated all the sims I've shared (there are more than 200 of them!) with the new features added to the game over the last few months (pronouns, sexual orientation, body hairs, etc.), and some other modifications. All these sims have nice outfits (3 in the everyday category), skills, jobs (only for the sims from the Families Packs), likes/dislikes, additional traits, lifestyles, and more.

You can find them here:

Families Packs (Part I and Part II).
Townies Packs (Part I, Part IIOccults Sims).
Pack NPCs (Sages, Henford Sims, Werewolves, Teachers).

Or use my EA ID simsontherope to find them in the gallery. If you play with them, don’t hesitate to let me know about it, or tag me!

Occults Sims

Some time ago, while testing the werewolf pack, I realized that I had almost no occult sims in my save. So I decided to do something about it!

These few households include vampires, werewolves, spellcasters, aliens, mermaids, but also the most dangerous type of occult - celebrities! I gave each of these sims three nice outfits, skills, likes, additional traits, lifestyles and more! Also, for the occults with a whole skill tree (yep, that include the famous sims), I have assigned them perks.

I wanted to say a big thank you to @thelastairsimblr who helped my a lot with these sims, to create some of the outfits, and also doing some stuff in game. He also create really great sims, don’t hesitate to have a look at his creations!

You can of course play with these sims, but if you simply want to use them as townies (sims that don't live anywhere, but that you can meet in the streets or on community lots) as intended, install them on a lot then evict them immediately.

Then in the Manage Households window, click on each household, mark them as Unplayed, and move them in the Other Households tab

But if you play with these sims, feel free to tag me in your posts!

Essential NPCs for Copperdale

All the essential NPCs for the High School Years pack, edited to match my sims style, with 3 everyday outfits, skills, likes/dislikes, additional traits, lifestyles and more. Perfect if, like me, you delete all the EA households directly when a new world is available, but don't want random NPCs!

I also changed some of their traits (the principal was Neat, but it was annoying to see her spend her time cleaning the showers or toilets instead of staying in her office), their ages for the seniors (in my game, they were both afraid of dying because of the new fear system, so they were running around looking scared all the time), and I replaced the cafeteria worker with her husband, because I wanted more guys.

Install these sims on a lot, and don’t go in Live Mode with them (otherwise, they will lose their NPC jobs). Instead, evict them immediately. They will appear in the Manage Households window, mark them as Unplayed and move them in the Other Households tab. You also need to delete their previous, in the Manage Households window.

I also used content from many previous packs to dress them, so if you need to replace some outfits, simply edit them in CAS from the Manage Households window, it shouldn’t be a problem.

Sims 4 - Maximalisme Minimaliste

After spending hours on the high school, I wanted to build something simpler! So here is my first house built with the contents of the pack.

It's a simple family house, with a slight art deco/mid century touch for the furnishing. Of course, the biggest room in the house was created for a teenager, I needed space to try out the new stuff! I will use the more neutral room on the ground floor for a foreign exchange student, but you can make it a guest room, or redecorate it to make a child's room.

Location: Copperdale (Prescott Square), Water Tower Way.

Info: Residential, 15x20, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

Playtested as usual, without CC, use bb.moveobjects on before placing the lot.

Sims 4 - Lycée de Copperdale

I know, I'm a bit late to the party this time!

Seriously, so many people have shared their High School in the last few days that I hesitated to post mine. Many of them were impressive! But I wanted a smaller school for my save, more convenient to play in. The school days are already short, so it's better to avoid that our sims lose too much time to go from one place to another!

Since I had already built a high school a long time ago, I thought it would be quick to adapt it for the new pack. But in the end, I changed almost all the layout, moved some rooms, and above all, I had to fill a huge space around my build!

The rooms that are essential for gameplay (the classrooms, the cafeteria, the principal's room and the toilets) are all on the ground floor, close to each other. On the second floor there is a library, a room for the debate club, a music room and a art studio. I also added a small gym, with locker rooms, at the back of the lot next to the basketball court.

I couldn't fit all the pictures in this post, you can find more here!

Location: Copperdale, Copperdale High School.

Info : 64x64 lot, High School.

Sims 4 - Second Souffle

I'm making some changes on the Lykke Centre area of Windunburg, where most of my older lors are. I already had a gym on a larger lot on the waterfront, but I think I should use this nice space for something else (I don't know what yet!).

So I created this new gym, with a sleeker exterior, and a leaner interior. It is smaller, but has the same gym equipment as the former one.

Location: Windenburg (Lykke Centre), Hare and Hedgehog.

Sims 4 - Retraite du Levant

I'm still working on updating my old builds, and I decided to move this house somewhere else, it didn't really fit in the modern area of Windunburg (plus, I needed that plot for something else!).

I made this house for two roommates (with rich parents), I hope your sims will enjoy it too!

Location: Newcrest (Llama Lagoon), Asphalt Abodes.

Info: Residential, 30x20, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

Sims 4 - Fabrique de Musique

This lot was one of the first I shared, so I thought it might be time to update it! I was still using the original, but this build was a mess, there were too many objects and details everywhere, too many different colors. So I simplified the exterior architecture, and made a cleaner decoration inside.

I also removed all the karaoke space upstairs (as I have another build for that in this neighborhood), the sims weren't using it anyway!

Location: Windenburg (Lykke Centre), Harbor Quarter Gym.

Info : 30x30 lot, Nightclub or Karaoke Bar.

Playtested as usual, use bb.moveobjects on before placing the lot.

Sims 4 - Tanière Collective

And this will be my last renovation for Moonwood Mill. This time I only renovated the existing house, as I did with the library, because I liked the original build. I will not give you all the details, but since there have been some changes in the household (Celene now lives in the shed), I adapted the decoration accordingly!

Location: Moonwood Hill, New Moon Shack.

Info: Residential, 30x40, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathroom.

I realize I haven't shared my opinion of the Werewolves pack with you!

I'll try to be brief: not much to say about the content of the CAS or the buy/build modes, it looks great, it fits the theme, it's very well done for me. Thanks to this, I really enjoyed building lots for Moonwood Mill!

Surprisingly, I loved the gameplay part of the pack (and coming from me, that means a lot, I don't really enjoy playing in live mode in the Sims 4). They did an awesome job with the werewolves, all their skills, unique interactions and animation, they are at least as great as the vampires (if only that was the case with all the occult...). I wasn't really convinced by their appearance when I saw the first render, but they match with the game art-style perfectly.

Ultimately, the biggest flaw of the pack is the same as for many packs. Too many features are linked to the new world, which means that if you play a werewolf somewhere else, you won't really be able to be part of a pack (or you'll have to keep coming back to Moonwood Mill), and you won't be able to enjoy many of the other features. And since most of the latest packs work like this, it's hard to "mix them up". Because of that... all playthrough might feel the same.

And that's all for me! I played with the pack once, my Sims reached the maximum rank of his werewolf skill, became the Alpha of the Moonwood Mill Collective, discovered most of the lore, and he fought with Greg at the end and won. It was fin, but I’m not sure it would be interesting to do another playthrough too soon.

I hope this quick review was helpful!

(Oh, and on a more positive note: I had almost no bugs, and after the disaster that was the Wedding pack, this is a miracle!)

Sims 4 - La Soif du Hurleur

Another lot for Moonwood Mill!

One of the things I didn’t like with the original bar was the lack of interior space, that can be a bit problematic if you have Seasons, and if you want to shelter from the rain. So I built this big warehouse, with plenty of space or hang out!

I also decided to remove the bunker : I find that the lots seem rather empty in general, there are too few sims to make them look alive. So I prefer that the sims are gathered in the same place, rather than scattered everywhere on a large lot. I have already included a werewolf area in my library, I don't think it was necessary to include another one here!

Location: Moonwood Mill, Grimtooth Bar & Bunker.

Info: Bar, 50x40.

Sims 4 - Archives de Sylvalune

I liked the structure of the original library, but it wasn’t detailed and... cluttered enough for me! So rather than build a new building, I decided to work from the existing one. I also chose to close the roof, so that the lighting inside would look better.

I hope you will enjoy it!

Werewolves from Moonwood Mill

All the townies from the new world, edited to match my sims style, with 3 everyday outfits, skills, likes/dislikes, additional traits, lifestyles and more!

They will no longer be part of their original wolf pack when you install them, but it's easy to fix!

Add the original leaders (Kristopher for the Moonwood Collective and then Rory for the Wildfangs) to the household, ask the relooked version of the sims to join the pack, and assign them their rank (Werewolf Pack menu, and then Pack Hierarchy) and Entrust the leadership of the pack to their new version. Then you can delete the old versions of the sims.

So no cheat needed, but it's a bit more tedious than usual!

Then, you simply can simply evict this household if you don’t entend to play them. They will appear in the Manage Households window, mark them as Unplayed and move them in the Other Households tab, like the other townies and NPCs!

Unfortunatly, I couldn't get Celene and Wolfgang to keep their NPC jobs, so you won’t see them working at the library or at the bar (but in any case, they would have ended up being replaced by random sims!).  In my game, I created a club (with Get Together) with Celene and some other supernatural sims who meet at the Moonwood Mill bar, so I can find her there!

I also relooked the sims of Henford-on-Bagley and the Sages from Realm of Magic if you are interested, you can find them HERE.

Sims 4 - Cabanon Lunaire

As always before testing the gameplay of a new pack, I had to build a house for my sims. So here it is, feel free to use it for your own werewolves!

I will try to share my opinion on the pack soon, but it is quite positive!

Sims 4 - Colocation Plaisante

I still had this big empty lot in the northern part of Newcrest, so I decided to build a big house for three roommates. As always, I tried to squeeze as many interactable objects as I could, so the sims who will live here will not lack activities to practice!

As you may have noticed, I have been struggling to build for quite some time. I don't post many new builds, and under these conditions, I'm not sure I'll be able to offer you my own Save one day (that was the idea, initially!). So I just updated my build posts to add their location, it should be easier for you to place them in your save.

So sorry for those who were waiting for this Save. Of course, I will continue to post new things here when I get inspired, whether it's builds or sims (I've already started creating new families and townies that I plan to share with you!).

See you soon!

I needed a new profile picture, so here is a portrait of Aden, a sims I played with in a personal save a while ago!

Sims 4 - Habitat Luxuriant

Hey, I’m still alive!

To be honest, I've lost interest in the Sims lately, due to the lack of new content. I started this house a while ago to test the plant kit, and I decided took a few hours today to finish it.

I really hope that the next updates and packs will motivate me to play again. Well, I'm not really thrilled by the wedding pack (it's not something new, I'm afraid it won't include any truly new interesting features), but I will try it and give you my opinion!

Anyway, have fun with this house, and see you soon... I guess?
