Thug Kitchen recipe #6 Roasted Carrot and Cumin Dressing
I really like the descriptive title and the concept of this recipe. But honestly, this salad dressing just tastes like vinegar. I think with some recipe development (more carrots and cumin😂) with waaaay less vinegar and this could be good. This recipe needs work but has a lot of potential, 6/10
Thug Kitchen recipe #8 Cauliflower Cream Pasta with Fresh Herbs
I picked this recipe thinking that it would be pretty good, how bad can pasta be? But this is by far the worst recipe I've made from the book. I don't know if I had a particularly pungent bulb of garlic or what, but this recipe only had the sharp taste and odor of garlic. I couldn't finish the bowl. Maybe using roasted, instead of raw, garlic in the sauce would fix things. I ended up adding parmesan and made a new sauce with heavy cream to douse the pasta in. I had to find a way to make myself eat the leftovers for the rest of the week (sorry vegans). That being said, the idea of using pureed cauliflower to mimic a cream-based sauce is great. But once again I hear myself saying... I like the concept of this recipe, but it definitely needs some more development, 3/10
