They over book their own flight, asked for volunteers to leave, and when no one wanted to, assulted, bloodied and knocked out a 69 year old doctor and dragged him unconscious down the isle. Fucking despicable. He had to fly to see a patient. They did this so their own staff could sit instead of him. And I dont think its a coincidence he is asian, and not white.

Currently 20 million people are starving across Somalia and the surrounding regions, with what the UN is calling the worst humanitarian crisis since World War II. If you’d like to help, please donate responsibly to reputable orgs or groups, either those that have been transparent with their efforts in Somalia, or run by Somalis with volunteers in Somalia or have been vetted by Somalis. Cash based responses work better as 40% of Somalis are food insecure or worse due to drought conditions, and by donating directly to those who have boots on the ground, orgs can save not only their lives but the lives of their livestock. Many rural area Somalis rely on their livestock as their main source of livelihood and without protecting their animals as well as their own lives, it can exacerbate the situation further and cut off the means for families to provide for themselves. It also provides orgs with the ability to deal with related issues such as the recent cholera outbreak.

These guys are literally asking what “benefits” (to the rich) Meals on Wheels provides and since it doesn't give any benefits (to the rich) they should be dismantled.
Reading about Congress bills can be dry, so here’s a quick thread on the eight bills (among 2,000 - according to Al Jazeera English) introduced since Trump took office in January.
I will update this post with a link explaining each bill - which has far-reaching and devastating consequences for Americans, especially low-income Americans - in a very short bit.

Women are socialized to make men feel good.
We’re socialized to “let you down easy.”
We’re not socialized to say a clear and direct “no.”
We’re socialized to speak in hints and boost egos and let people save face.
People who don’t respect the social contract (rapists, predators, assholes, pickup artists) are good at taking advantage of this.
“No” is something we have to learn.
“No” is something we have to earn.
In fact, I’d argue that the ability to just say “no” to something, without further comment, apology, explanation, guilt, or thinking about it is one of the great rites of passage in growing up, and when you start saying it and saying it regularly the world often pushes back.
And calls you names.
