equal rights for women will never truly be achieved until we have more female noir detectives
and i don't mean some badass woman who doesn't need a man and can kill someone in 6 inch heels without breaking a sweat or smudging her perfectly set makeup or chipping a nail. she looks like she grew up in a soggy cardboard box on the side of the road all alone. she monologues dramatically to herself while looking over the corruption-riddled city she works in because she has no friends or hobbies and will literally do anything except go to therapy. she gets beat up in alleyways so blood and rain drip sexily from her nose and chin but when she gets to her feet she looks like a sad wet cat. women want her but they also pity her. instead of perfume she smells of coffee, whiskey and cigarettes, which are also more or less all she lives off of. her voice is more gravelly than a pit of rocks as a result of said diet. she hasn't slept or showered in at least 3 days and it's increasingly obvious. she's either divorced or feels like she should be.
yeah okay gimme a sec
ok first off some of yall missed the entire point and gave gorgeous, put-together women, when op explicitly stated that she is "a sad wet cat" this is the type-a woman who Does Not have her shit together and Does Not care.
therefore, i give you: Female Noir Detective
this lady's so much of a mess she's smoking the damn cig backwards
y’all like to make fun of men having pictures with the fishes they caught on tinder but for me that’s hot as fuck. It tells me he has a hobby, leaves the house at least sometimes, has a friend that takes a picture of him, and most importantly, that he has killed. absolute panty dropper
This guy just wants to fuck people’s dads…
this post was tagged with countless amounts of anime boyfriends and other assorted blorbos from shows but finally someone gets me
i'm going to word this delicately so i dont get cancelled by the woke mob. i think Marjorie Taylor Greene should shoot herself in the head with a large caliber bullet
ive been getting some angry messages about this post and i want to sincerely apologize. i didn’t think about how offensive this actually was or the misogynistic implications. it was wrong of me to suggest that a woman is required to perform any form of emotional labor. if Marjorie Taylor Greene got shot in the fucking face by somebody else that would be fine too
The whole point of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul is that y’all should’ve really listened to Mike.
look into the horses eyes its going to eat their faces so fucking fast
Apparently the context is this horse has injured everyone who has tried to ride them
Both still in Bicentennial livery, although relegated to more mundane duties, 1510 and 1512 pass through Eklutna on a northbound works train in a rare patch of sunshine on an otherwise overcast August day in 1985. Apparently ARR was one of the last railroads in the US still using vacuum-operated side dump wagons at the time. Anchorage, AK August 14, 1985
“Annie shops”
Invited in for a “look see” we find an Ann Arbor RS1 along with GP35’s 385 & 394 in the railroads shops in Owosso, Michigan in June of 1974.
At 3:30 p.m. a switcher pulls the last string of piggyback flats for eastbound train 372, the “Advance Overnight.” It departs San Francisco at 4:01 p.m. for Los Angeles. All flats loaded after that wait for the 7:35 p.m. departure of the regular “Coast Overnight” freight. The SP was a pioneer of trailer-on-flatcar service and would later develop double-stack container cars. William D. Middleton photo
Two Amtrak roster rarities stand together at the Ivy City terminal in Washington, DC. Amtrak 47 was one of three Washington Terminal RS1’s that received Amtrak’s Phase III paint scheme. Amtrak 746 was the only S2 on the roster, having started life as U.S. Army 7110, later becoming Amtrak 7110 in the Phase I scheme before being renumbered and repainted in Phase III. February, 1985
The Odd Couple by Citizen of the Galaxy Via Flickr: Now for something a bit unusual on this Thirty Thursday. At Amtrak’s Sanford FL Auto-Train facility on 12 March 1987, we spot General Electric P30CH “Pooch” No. 724, coupled to EMD re-engined Alco RS3m No. 106. The old Alcos were used for work train and other non-revenue service, with a few units like the one pictured, rebuilt to extend their service lives. The boxy GEs, having their origin in the U30C freight engine and the custom Santa Fe U30CG, were used on a few long distance trains but spent most of their times dedicated to the Lorton-Sanford A-T run.
Amtrak SDP40F 630, in its as-delivered “pointless arrow” scheme, stands with one of its predecessors at the Ivy City engine terminal in Washington, DC. The SDP40F’s were purchased to replace some of Amtrak’s aging and failing E8’s, but they proved to be derailment prone, and they were retired at about the same time as some of the E units. Eighteen SDP40F’s, including this one, got a new lease on life when they were traded to the Santa Fe, who rebuilt them as SDF40-2’s. Amtrak 630 became AT&SF 5253, and spent at least as much of its career hauling freight as it did pulling passengers. March, 1980
Conrail / Norfolk Southern - Gary, IN by d.w.davidson Via Flickr: View looking west from a point just west of Tolleston, in July 1984. That is the Wet Taft Street grade crossing with the double track Conrail Fort Wayne Line is at left, with the former Wabash line at right. Twenty years after its merger into Norfolk & Western, a Wabash boxcar still occupies the siding.
Summer Sunflowers by James Belmont Via Flickr: With vivid summer sunflowers blooming along the right of way, Union Pacific GP38-2 No. 2580, newly rebuilt at Morrison-Knudsen in Boise, Idaho, leads an eight car Cache Valley Local through Whitney, Idaho at high noon on Aug. 5, 1999.

Milwaukee S3 4-8-4 on a freight
Milwaukee Road class S3 Northern 267 rolls stock and refrigerator cars east at Bensenville, Ill., in the 1940s. The 4-8-4 is one of 10 built by Alco for MILW in 1944; sister 261 was restored for excursion service in 1993 and still runs out of Minneapolis.
