Not to sound like an old fuddy duddy, but modern anime just doesn’t hit the way 90′s anime did. Slayers is just so iconic. The artstyle was delightfully exaggerated, and everyone had so much personallity. Xellos and Filia are the definition of belligerent sexual tension, and it’s a shame that they don’t have characters with relationships like this in newer series.
