One of my extra credit opportunities for my science fiction class was to make a fake book cover for one of the stories read in class, so I made this! I really liked the imagery in There Will Come Soft Rains, and I think what really stuck out to me was the house producing tables with playing card decks neatly organized for people to play with. I thought about what would happen to these cards after the house ceased to be, so I took that idea and combined it with this quote from the titular poem: “And Spring herself, when she woke at dawn Would scarcely know that we were gone.“
Anyway! This was a lot of fun.

I’ve never thought about making a third iteration! But I bet if I start to look into it I can probably come up with a good tracklist (the vengabus is coming, sandstorm and barbie girl would def be on there)I’ll def. post here and on twitter when/if I do release a third volume though! It’d be nice to end the thing on a trilogy.
