Welcome to the world Little Sister

We came back home just a few days ago. Today, I took a nap with the baby and found Happy napping with us when I woke up.

So far, Happy has been perfect. Curious about the baby but always listening. We make sure to give Happy some quality time every day, so she knows we do care for her.

A little sister for Happy

It has been a while since Happy and I have been on Tumblr. First, because we’re too busy on Snapchat! [follow us @ mongoldenhappy]

But more than anything… We haven’t gone on long and exciting hikes.

We have put on weight, for a good cause: in a few weeks, Happy will welcome a little sister!

We could not be more excited! I am sure Happy has no idea what’s going on, but it’s going to be a lot of fun for all of us!

Snow is back!!!

This picture was taken last weekend in Saint Cergue, Switzerland. Since then, the weather was too warm and the snow became rain. But forecasts announce cooler weather and new snowfalls this week. Next weekend should be interesting!

Well-behaved puppy

With her water bowl, a few treats, a gorgeous view with birds flying near and voila!

Truth is, a Mom was coming near us every 5 minutes with her toddler to say hello to Happy. I know keeping a kid busy in a public place can be challenging, but sometimes, I wish people could stop assuming it’s okay to pet a dog (sometimes without even asking)!

When Dogs Heal

In honor of World AIDS Day, let’s spread the word for an amazing campaign called “When Dogs Heal”. This campaign was created by a dear friend and brings to light the incredible healing power of a dog’s love in coping with HIV/AIDS. Please visit www.wdhproject.org to learn more, read the amazing stories and consider making a donation to support HIV+ teens.

With Happy at Montagne Sous-Dine

A few weeks ago, we went up to the Montagne Sous-Dine (4 hours round trip). After a 1:30 hour hike up, we reached the plateau with a gorgeous view over the Mont Blanc and its surrounding mountains. We walked across impressive Lapiaz and had lunch, enjoying the beautiful autumn weather.

This hike is accessible year round, and becomes a snowshoe trail in winter.

To get there, go in the direction of Thorens-Glieres and set your GPS to park at Les Cheneviers.
