@lawfulgoodness @ladytabletop Do either y’all have any good D&D actual play podcasts with decent stories? Doesn’t have to be dnd, just any ttrpg being used to tell a story, basically. Other than The Adventure Zone (already caught up) or Crit Role (preferably something where every single episode isn’t an entire evening’s viewing.)
Oh geez I wish. This is exactly why I can’t really get into Critical Role. I love the gifsets & stories, but I can’t sit through 3-4 hours just watching somebody else play.
I’d love to know if anybody’s got some youTube or podcast suggestions, though.
I’d suggest Friends at the Table - they’re not always DnD, but they do actual play and it’s a fun group of people to listen to (comes Griffin McElroy recommended). I’ve heard cool things about High Rollers and Acquisitions Inc., and @bitchesofbagrule has a fun little podcast starting up, though I haven’t listened to any of those three yet!
I’m in the same boat as lawfulgoodness - I have tried and tried to watch Critical Role, but despite the voice actors being some of my favorites in the industry, one episode can take me upwards of two weeks to get through since I don’t have a lot of time to sit down and consume media. Now that they’re putting episodes out as a podcast in addition to the videos, I might finally be able to get through one a week!
