One more pokémon sculpture birthday gift!
Pikachu’s lightning bolt tail always makes me wanna give him hissing cat energy, hence the pose. Love making him more wild and animal-like rather than the cute, tiny mascot we all know and love, but hopefully he still has personality and is still cute in a different way.
Pikachu’s made of sculpey, foil and wire armature, acrylic gouache, matte varnish, and 10 million volts of electricity to bring him to life.
I always have a lot of fun doing a little twist on these iconic characters and it was especially fun translating them to sculptures!
