I’m overjoyed to share some exciting news! My debut book, Picture Book by Dog, published by Little, Brown Books for Young Readers , will be out soon! Picture Book by Dog is a tale (tail?) of Dog’s journey, from living alone on the streets, to being helped out at an animal shelter, to eventually finding a home. I hope that this book will offer readers an opportunity to empathize with their four legged friends. The book is out September 29th and is available for preorder now! Click for more info

I’ll be selling prints and an art book at booth B56 along with some friends, @maxulichney @sharingej and @henryjohn.deleon I’m looking forward to meeting new people, seeing old friends and soaking up the creative and inspiring atmosphere! It should be a lot of fun! .
“Tell me of ur adventure beagle dog...” 🐕🎒 part of a text my girlfriend sent me. .
We’re getting a full length mirror this weekend. Before this weekend @laraisabird would sometimes ask if I would snap a picture so she could see what her outfit looked like. She looked so cute in her flowery jacket yesterday so I decided to make a painting of her ❤️💕 . Technically, I’ve been trying something different lately. I’ve been doing my drawing on one layer, copying the drawing and hiding it, and then painting directly on the drawing layer. It ends up being a 1 layer file BUT I have my initial drawing ready to check against the painting to make sure the painting has the energy from the drawing. It ends up feeling like the best of both worlds, where you’re forced to embrace your mistakes and happy accidents you get with traditional media, but where you still have all the tools and ease of digital techniques at your disposal.
h-hi! 😳 💐 . Check out my instagram for a timelapse video. I'm thinking about making a tutorial based on this guy, what do you think?
Beach day Many drawing of Lara lately! There’s some other stuff in the works, will post soon! This one started off as a 20 second quick sketch from life but I kept drawing from memory and wanted to turn it into a super soft pencil rendering piece (digital pencil tho, done in procreate with @maxulichney 2B pencil brush)
My sisters and I went out to Washington state to visit my dad. It was a great trip and a much needed break from work. Here’s an illustration of my sister @relthingham in the garden outside of the place we were staying. check out my instagram for timelapses
