a monstrous she wolf

I’ve never craved the spotlight that often comes along with success in this business. It’s a by-product of the profession and a sign of the times. But any uncomfortableness I feel is balanced by the knowledge that it gives me the ability to advocate for myself and others.

HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY BRIE LARSON!(October 1st, 1989)

But still sometimes, when the wind is warm or the crickets sing… I dream of a love that even time will lie down and be still for. I just want someone to love me. I want to be seen. I don’t know. Maybe I had my happiness. I don’t want to believe it but, there is no man. Only that moon.

omg. tysm. i watched s3 a week after it came out and couldnt believe people were so excited abt /that/. they do so many shitty things in the name of the '80s'. the characters have become ridiculous, too. i mean, eleven? seriously? i cant bear watching her scenes anymore

“I dump you” LET HER SPEAK IN FULL SENTENCES, YOU HEATHENS

I didn’t enjoy s3 either, at least not nearly in the same way as the first two. It feels thrown together and rushed, all the events of the whole season feeling like they happened over like two days or so took me completely out of it

I’m just sick of the same old shit. Nothing has changed for these characters, they keep acting and saying the exact same things, the story itself is just a repetition of monsters and 80’s music in a different horror movie setting. I’m not interested in eating a regurgitated, lesser version of the first season. Why isn’t Eleven speaking in full sentences yet? Why do they think that puberty is a replacement for character development? Who told them that unrestrained misogyny is ok as long as they set it in the 80s? And Winona Ryder is a great actress, give her something different to do!!! Maybe if these men had brought in some different voices or hired female writers to consult/contribute, their script wouldn’t be so stale. It just feels like they had one (1) good (albeit overindulgent) idea and then have never been able to expand it.

“There’s something really powerful about seeing somebody at their strongest and most self-possessed but so full of emotion that there could be a tear running down their face, and that not taking away from her power and her strength, and there’s something that just encapsulated so much about what this movie is trying to say and who Carol is.”  — Anna Boden, Captain Marvel Audio Commentary

Bran being crowned king through a bizarre election or Trixie Mattel being crowned winner through a bizarre election?

Both instances the electing body laughed at the will of the people so
