I'm testing out my headcanon for young Coco.
Since we saw that she's got the exact same markings on her skull as her father, I assume, that Coco was the spitting image of Héctor. Which makes sense. First born daughters most of the time look like the femal vers. of their dads. But still there's 50% of the mother and it goes somewhere 😉
What do you think of this design?
Anyway, I will def. draw her again. With different expressions. And explore which traits she got from each parent.

Me, my wife and our her cat
Nothing too crazy .... just a "5 minutes" warm up doodle because I have written all day long yesterday and before I jump into the detailed drawings again, I want to relax my wrists a bit.
Also, this is more "my style" but with the detailed drawings I tent to go more into the original pixar style.
And yeah ... Imelda with her "effortless" hair down 😯 a rarely seen sight, only Héctor got to see 😏
I like to imagine, that they got Pepita when Imelda was pregnant with Coco and Héctor used her as a "Baby holding" practise because he was absolutely going loco with his fears if he's going to be a good Papá and not doing anything wrong.
Very amusing for Imelda, not so much for Pepita, but she's a cuddlebug kitty so she let's Héctor 😆

This is actually a study I am doing right now because of my upcoming fanfic chapters. I wanted to take notes of the differences and similarities between them.
Héctor had a more sharp/diamond shaped face but still kinda roundish chubby cheeks because (12 y. baby) His nose had always been sharper and more pointy even as a child. He's got fuller lips, especially his upper lip. Remarkably straight teeth o . O His ears are more downturned just as his eyes are. (The perfect puppy or doe eyes!) Thicker brows, more messy, poofy hair (he carried that through all the way 😆) His smile/grin is slighlty more crooked upwards on the left. Also, I believe that Héctor was taller than Miguel and if only half a head. Also, no dimple.
Similarities are, both are lanky, slender noodles. Both are darn adorable!!! I might post my other studies soon, where I go more into detail. But the other, promised drawings come first of course. And don't forget that you will be able to read about *young* Héctor in my fanfic in the next chapters too!
