This is not cannon but I wanted to write a one shot for the Lost prince au
Mk was getting very sick of these dreams now. Ever since he joined this group he was having them almost every night where as he would only have them once in a blue moon.
What was worst was the feeling he had when he woke up. The heart ache he felt when he opened his eyes only to release that it wasn't real. That he was still alone. That he was just an orphan that no one wanted. Not even his bio family. I mean he lived in a local orphanage for so many fing years you'd think that if they cared enough they'd have look to see if their son was there, right?
Mk just wiped the tears away, he didn't want the group to know about this. Or these dreams. He didn't want them to think he's crazy or worse. He looked up from his sleeping bag noticing that Wukong wasn't there.
Currently they where in the forest chasing a lead to the Star princes location. Originally they were going to take a train but, mk didn't have a passport so they had to travel by rented car... that was crash and hour or so by a freak storm so now they where on foot. During this Wukong seemed to get angrier and angrier with all the inconvenience that have been happening.
Mk could have sworn that he said under his breath "Does the universe not want me to find him or something?" Before taking something to cool off. It... it hurt Mk seeing Wukong like that. He kinda liked him. He felt like a father he desperately wished he had. Mk wanted to tell Wukong his story. But, he couldn't. He didn't want them to pity him or look in sadness. There was enough of that going around right now.
Mk got up from his sleeping bag to go look for him. He couldn't have gone too far. But what he saw next made his stomach go to his throat. There in the middle of an open field was none other then the Monkey King himself sitting on the ground... crying.
"Why dame you?" He said choking out a crying. It wasn't a yell but a normal speaking voice.
"I know he's alive. I can feel it. I know he's out their yet why? Why can't you just help me find him? Please, I know that I've done bad things in the past. I was young and stupid but he is innocent in all this. He was so young, kind, and caring. He always kind to our people even the people who worked for us. He didn't deserve it..." he doubled over in grief.
"Please, please, don't tell me he's gone. I... I can't..."
Mk watched. Different emotions hitting him. But one thing was clear.
Wukong was the real Monkey King.
That's why he was searching for the star prince. His son. Mk felt tears well up in his eyes. It hurt. It hurt.
After what feels like forever I finally got my drawing groove back! And what other way to celebrate than with the absolute legend that is the Rise of the TMNT Movie! This scene honestly broke my heart.
FINAL got to sit and watch this movie (been busy with side projects) and MAN! Did they go hard on this movie. The animation! The story! GAHHHH! I've been a turtle fan since the 2003 series came out so this hit HARD.

I just realised why Mk it’s a delivery boy, one of Sun Wukong principal jobs on the Journey to the West was to search for food for Taprikakka and go search for help when they need it.
