Notice your dog’s floppy ears

By this, we mean that their ears are relaxed, not tense or flattened against their head. Pricked upright ears are a sign of alertness. They tell you if your dog is happy or sad, just focused. Their body’s relaxed. His/her belly-up and tongue out. Happy dogs tend to show their bellies and tongues as they wriggle around on their backs. If your dog seems relaxed in their posture and not tense or stiff, this is a good indication they are feeling good. His/her eyes and eyelids are relaxed, he/she blinks a lot, his/her gaze is soft and his/her brow is smooth. His/her ears are also relaxed, not cocked or pointing. His/her mouth is open a bit with a few teeth visible (but not bared), his tongue may be lolling and he may even appear to be smiling.

The Imp in the bed he chose for himself at the pet store when we were actually shopping for his Brother. He got in and would NOT get out, no matter how we pulled and tipped the bed. He even gets miffed if any of the other dogs even look at it. Do not even think of defiling his bed with your person!

(That is also HIS pompom.)
