Deep voice clip: “COME.”

Dude: *starts laughing* “Thanks-”

DVC: “COME.”

Dude: *laughs harder*

DVC: “COME. COME.”

Dude: *laughs even harder* “Only one of you had to do it for it, for it-!”

DVC: “COME.”

Dude: *squeak-laughs* “Thanks, ‘preciate it.” *chuckles a bit more*

A soundbyte of Kirby’s victory dance plays in response to the superchat.

now that we know what happened in dark road, it makes this scene EVEN MORE meaningful.

xehanort is literally a failed main character.

he had everything to be a main protagonist. a prophecy telling that he’d save everyone, an old mentor to teach him, and a special lineage.

BUT HE FAILED!! he literally was so invested in “saving the world” that he committed atrocities because of it, making him a villain in the end.

and then you have sora, the actual main character, who is the equivalent to someone with a netflix account. sora became the mc by pure chance, he is a straight up NO ONE. he isn’t a chosen one at all, wields his keyblade improperly, and even failed his mark of mastery exam because he wasn’t following the correct objective. yet he’s the one who’s a true hero time and time again.

that’s why the scene of xehanort passing sora the x-blade is all the more symbolic. it’s not just about xehanort surrendering, it’s about him acknowledging sora as the true savior of the world.

gosh. what a great dynamic. I LOVE KH SO MUCH🗣🗣🗣

xehanort and sora are complete opposites. the message that the story tries to tell you time and time again is it doesnt matter what other people “decide” your role is. in the end it’s up to you and your actions to dictate what kind of person you become.

A book crystallized in the ocean

Avatar

oh mood

NO NO NO.

This was not crystallized by the ocean. People. No. This is why artist credit is SO DAMN IMPORTANT THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE MISINFORMED HERE.

Alexis Arnold is an artist who creates crystallized books. Her work is amazing and beautiful, she’s made dozens of these.

This particular one was not made by her, however, it was actually created by Catherine McEver - who was inspired to try it after seeing a show of Alexis Arnold’s work. It’s literally the first picture on Google image results if you search for “crystallized books” and she posted about it on her blog showing other process shots as she made it.

TWO DIFFERENT WOMEN ARE BEING DEPRIVED OF CREDIT FOR THEIR CREATIVITY BECAUSE THIS FALSE INFORMATION IS BEING SPREAD. FUCK THAT.

Considering how many times I’ve seen the uncredited post on my dash I’m finally going to reblog it, with the proper credits.

Kingdom Hearts TTRPG Beta Release: July 30th, 2022

Ever wanted to play Kingdom Hearts as a roleplaying game? Ever thought, “Hey, Union Cross would’ve worked way better as an MMORPG, if only I had the skills to make that happen?” Ever thought, “Well, the next best thing would be a tabletop game set in the Keyblade War?” I sure did! Repeatedly. Constantly. And that’s why we’re here!

KHTTRPG is, as it sounds like, a tabletop game based on the Kingdom Hearts series. It uses a d4 to imitate the Kingdom Hearts games’ use of combos as a major part of combat, and provides means of creating all sorts of characters from the KH series. It’s completely free, and always will be.

As a beta release, this does not include all of the content that a polished TTRPG might have, nor does it have all the content it will eventually gain! However, to progress this point, the game requires playtesting, something that I, as a single Game Dev ready to mingle (with players for my game), am not capable of doing without help.

As such, if you are interested in KHTTRPG, please keep an eye out for further updates on the game - in particular, for the release of the core rules & several classes on July 30th!

NEEDLEMOUSE -

A Keyblade modeled after the original 16-bit Sonic the Hedgehog game! This keyblade is designed to have fast combos! The hilt of the keyblade is designed after the title screen with Sonic appearing in the winged ring, with the shaft of the blade being formed of a capsule into a star post. From the star post, we have sonic's quills making the teeth of the blade, and the stars from the Special Zone to balance it. The keychain is made up of rings with the token being one of the 6 Chaos Emeralds.
The world logo comes from the very first zone of the game, the iconic Green Hill Zone. The name comes from a mistranslation of Sonic's beta name Mr. Hedgehog.

SUPER SPEED -

A Keyblade modeled after Sonic the Hedgehog 2, now with Tails! This Keyblade is designed to have high areo skills! The cross guard and pommel of the Keyblade is designed after the animal capsules, with the sides having the original 6 Chaos Emeralds. The shaft of the blade is another Star Post, with sonic running around it and transforming into Super Sonic. The teeth comes from the newest character and sidekick, Tails! The Token has the purple Chaos Emerald, the 7th one added to allow Sonic to transform into Super Sonic.
The world logo comes from the first level in the game, Emerald Hill Zone. The name comes from Sonic of course having super speed, but also that Sonic 2 is Super Sonic's first appearance.

SPECIAL ZONE -

A Keyblade modeled after the Special Zone of Sonic the Hedgehog 3! This Keyblade is designed to have high strength! The hilt of the Keyblade is designed after Angel Island itself, with Knuckles' fist busting from the ground like we sadaw from his first appearance. The shaft of the blade is made up of the Spell Zone orbs that appears, with the red ones that need to be avoided near Knuckles, and the blue ones that need to be collected going up to the teeth. The teeth are designed after the small blue symbol used in the point screen to represent Sonic. The token is a blue Emerald this time.
The name comes from the influence of the Special Zone that makes up this keyblade. The World Logo comes from the first level of the game, the Angel Island Zone.

CHAOS GUARDIANS -

A Keyblade modeled after the Master Emerald from Sonic & Knuckles! This Keyblade is designed to have high magic stats! The hilt of the blade is designed after the platform that held the Master Emerald. The shaft of the keyblade is made up of the various crystals that formed around the Emerald, including another Emerald itself. The teeth are formed from a Ring that has Sonic's quills that form into Knuckles' quills. The keychain is the attachment to the Tornado that Tails used to hold the Master Emerald, which makes the Token.
The name comes from Knuckles being the guardian of the Master Emerald, and Sonic assisting in that even with Knuckles initially being antagonistic to him. The world logo again comes from the first level, Mushroom Hill zone.

SPEED OF TIME -

A Keyblade modeled after the time alterations of Sonic CD! This Keyblade is designed to give enemies the Stop Effect. The hilt of the keyblade is designed after the Bad Future that Eggman aims to create in the game. The shaft of the blade is designed to have the Future, Good Future, and the Past transitioning up the blade, with Metal Sonic hiding at the base of the blade. Sonic runs up the the shaft of the blade and forms the teeth.
The name comes from, again Sonic's speed, but the time-travel theming of the game. The world logo comes from the Little Planet that the entire game takes place on.

RINGBEARERS -

A Keyblade modeled after the vibrant world of Knuckles' Chaotix! This Keyblade is designed to have faster limit charges! The entire keyblade is designed after the neon aesthetic of the World Entrance. The hilt of the blade, amongs the neon aesthetic, holds one of the Chaos Rings, with the others forming the teeth of the blade. The last one takes the form of the Token, with the chain being formed of the Bound Ring sparks.
The name comes from the Chaotix all holding onto the Bound Rings, being the main gimic of the game. The world logo takes from the overall zone in which the game takes place.
