Feelings are valid but they aren’t facts. Please don’t treat them like they are. By this I mean, just because you feel like a bad person doesn’t mean you are a bad person. Just because you feel like no one cares doesn’t mean no one cares. Our feelings can get strong and overwhelming sometimes (a lot of the time) and that’s so valid. But please try to step back and look at the facts before acting on them.

falling back into patterns and behaviours you thought you'd worked to overcome doesn't mean you've lost all your progress.

changing things we've been doing our whole lives takes time and it's perfectly fine if that's hard sometimes.

infact, learning to overcome setbacks is a part of recovery.

I'm proud of you for the little wins that no one else has noticed. Just because people don't see it, doesn't mean it isn't meaningful!

experiencing anger doesn’t make you a mean person. it doesn’t mean your heart isn’t still soft and you aren’t still full of love. anger is just another way to express emotions, and just as there are times to be sad and cry, and there are times to laugh and enjoy yourself, there can be times to be angry and feel upset

reminder that you are enough just as you are.

you don't need to change or be more productive or do more to be enough.

you always have been and always will be enough by simply existing and being you.

If you are back at school, college, university or work soon. 

Don’t panic. Get prepared and sort your things out.

Take some deep breaths.

You are not overreacting.

Just because things could be worse doesn't mean they don't suck.

Just because you're focusing a lot on your own struggles doesn't mean that you don't care about other people. Your struggles are valid and important and deserving of your attention.

It's okay to cry. It's okay to be sad, to be angry, to be tired. Let yourself feel things without guilt. And take your time sorting things out.

I'm sorry you're struggling.

We're gonna get through this.

Needing and receiving help isn’t a bad thing. Continuously giving and giving and giving has to be paired with accepting the aid others offer you in return and asking for it when they don’t. Saying “I am not doing okay and I need your support” doesn’t make you weak, it makes you human experiencing human things. Give people the opportunity to be there for you.
