In recent months I’ve been making huge progress towards finally producing some of the stories that I’ve only hinted at for years, so if you’d like to keep up with news on that, it will be on Twitter in real time.

I’ll probably continue to post art here occasionally (unless I also get deleted for my sfw content like some users) but definitely not all of my content that gets posted to Twitter.

Astor’s love life is going to be handled deeply in his canon which I am currently seriously writing so I can’t go into detail, but he does “fall in love” with certain people. When I say “love” it doesn’t necessarily involve dating or marriage.

He’s easily attracted to personalities with great power, intensity, and vitality–monstrous people who could and would crush him like an ant. Astor’s got a very intense, thrill-seeking personality, so he is drawn to people who give him that rush he craves. 

He’s also attracted to certain calmer personalities–but those individuals also tend to have a darkness and intensity to them which captivates him in a different way.

I'd advise you to truly read the guidelines on the website itself for yourself. I can't believe so many people snowballed, read the headline of "no adult content" and screamed bloody murder... I like this platform so much to communicate with artists and share art, I have a hard time believing so many didn't read the exact details of the rules which their whole art depend on. Atop of screaming that tumblr removed everything without even trying to ask for support and notify staff. :'(

  • Adult Content. Don't upload images, videos, or GIFs that show real-life human genitals or female-presenting nipples —this includes content that is so photorealistic that it could be mistaken for featuring real-life humans (nice try, though). Certain types of artistic, educational, newsworthy, or political content featuring nudity are fine. Don’t upload any content, including images, videos, GIFs, or illustrations, that depicts sex acts. For more information about what this guideline prohibits and how to appeal decisions about adult content, check out our help desk.
  • What is "adult content? "Adult content primarily includes photos, videos, or GIFs that show real-life human genitals or female-presenting nipples, and any content—including photos, videos, GIFs and illustrations—that depicts sex acts.
  • What is still permitted? Examples of exceptions that are still permitted are exposed female-presenting nipples in connection with breastfeeding, birth or after-birth moments, and health-related situations, such as post-mastectomy or gender confirmation surgery. Written content such as erotica, nudity related to political or newsworthy speech, and nudity found in art, such as sculptures and illustrations, are also stuff that can be freely posted on Tumblr.

I COULD be confused here, I’ve seen that the guidelines make an exception for “artistic nudity” and “nudity in art”, but the wording pretty clearly says that nsfw art depicting sex is not allowed...which is what artists have a serious problem with. The people complaining about their partly-nude illustrations getting flagged I believe are mostly joking about how ridiculous this bot situation is--while the artists panicking are people who draw sexual art. I may not be posting much of that content myself but a lot of my peers do, and this is why many are leaving.

Major changes to platforms are always inevitably followed by general panic and misinformation, but looking at the guidelines I’d have to say the panic seems warranted.

NSFW illustrations are allowed, and bots were rushed due to the alarming rate of child porn. They should be polished now. Anyway anyone who got their account deleted writes to support and get it back in like a day... did any artist who complained ever write to support??

no idea! I just saw people on my TL tweeting in real time as things were happening and saw some artists say they got their accounts back after writing to support, and others saying they hadn’t heard back yet, or received some justification for the deletion from support saying their nsfw artwork violates community guidelines…Hard to tell what’s what when everyone is panicking lmao…

I assumed a lot of the flagging and takedowns had to be mistaken bc the flagged works were so clearly SFW, but seeing as my own and all my peers’ art featuring any small amount of nudity were also flagged it was easy to assume nsfw art was also targeted. I HOPE it’s true that all this really is accidental and doesn’t imply a permanent ban on nsfw art.

thank you so much! I’m so happy to know you enjoy him 😍💖 he really is a fun character, with a deceptively plain design and a fun, occasionally deep and dark romp of a story I’m once again dying to show everyone. I’m glad to find his kind of look still seems to appeal to people, since I figured the “2000s edgy dark subculture” aesthetic of this particular story is pretty outdated by now.

Basic height chart...Lucifer and Mephisto are already tall in their human forms but when they turn back into demons they are like giants...capable of getting bigger but staying compact because they need to get around indoors.

Here’s a little more, about the savvy-laws story, many of the teachers and the principals had told this girl after she came back from suspension that if they caught her stealing again they’d contact every artist about her thief and talk about helping the artist pressing charges against her. Considering artist work are copywrited to the artist, and not her. Our school did not like theft, since they were connected to a lot of art scholarships and Art-based companies, so stealing art was a huge N.O

Whoaaa 😳😳😳 this is honestly so mind-blowing to me…It’s such a stark contrast to my own high school experience of trying to explain to my teachers that having other people claim my art and characters as their own was illegal and upsetting and NOT (as they suggested) FLATTERING! 😂…and the total ignorance and incredulity I was met with from most of my friends when I was upset about tracers and art thieves…hardly any of them were interested or invested in art or creative careers, so it was pretty obvious they thought I was being manic over nothing. So honestly I am so incredibly grateful to your school, I can’t even describe…

It actually explains a lot that your school has those connections! I was thinking your high school must have more than usual focus and investment in art, for everyone to respond to copyright infringement as seriously as they did.
