South Stack Bronze Age Hut CIrcles, South Stack, Holy Island, Anglesey, North Wales, 28.5.17 I’ve been back to these hut circles many times but they are great to explore; the hut complex is extensive. These foundations date back two thousand years but it is thought that the land was farmed around these areas for up to three thousand years before that. The huts are of various shapes and sizes and some may have served as cattle enclosures. They evoke a powerful atmosphere of lives past with their outstanding views of the Irish Sea and their bleak and exposed location on the mountainside.
