Hey, I changed usernames.
Note: this text is just a copy-and-paste of the text that’s hard-coded into the desktop theme of this account. And that was just created so I could practice web typography.
I never expected that I'd be using Tumblr for almost five years now, which is why I didn't put any thought into my old username. It was meant to be a riff on Giga Pudding, but that reference was already six years old when I made it. That's been nagging at me for a while, so I've changed my name to Nachos-Palatino. I've started using Palatino for original content on other websites, but I'm adding Nachos to it because (1) just Palatino was taken, and (2) I don't want the name change to be too jarring.
There'll probably be a few more changes coming, not least of which is the new Tumblr theme. It's been taking a while for two reasons. One is that I've been teaching myself computer science, which covers much more than just web development. The other is that I want the theme to be of professional quality, so that I can release it as a theme for anyone to use. That means supporting a lot of features I wouldn't use myself.
(I get that most people, including me, just use the mobile app, so few people are going to see it, but using the default mobile theme for phones and desktop seems like a really bad idea. Plus, I'm trying to switch over into a career in web design/development, so this is good practice.)
