Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course footage will be shown at Summer Game Fest 2022

Cuphead has been available to play for 5 years now, and it has even been 4 years since the game’s DLC, The Delicious Last Course, had been revealed. And in a few weeks, the long wait for the Cuphead DLC will finally be coming to an end. In fact, the wait is so close to ending that Geoff Keighley announced on Twitter today that he’s “very excited to world premiere more of Cuphead: The Delicious…

Introducing: Reblog Controls

This is not a drill, repeat, this is not a drill—we are rolling out reblog controls across web and iOS, starting today.

How does it work?

When drafting a post, select the settings cog in the top right corner of your post editor. From here, you can choose one of two options.

  • “Anyone (on Tumblr)” means just that.
  • “No one” means that your post cannot be reblogged by anyone, ever.

Why?

Your wish is our command. Many of you have told us this feature would give you a welcome sense of safety. If you block someone after the post was made, don’t worry—they still can’t reblog it. This change gives you control over your own posts, and so will improve your posting experience. Ultimately, better posting means a better Tumblr. And finally, don’t worry, Android users. The feature will follow on your platform soon.

That’s all, folks. Happy reblogging!

Any questions? Drop us a line on @wip or Support, and keep an eye out for the mobile rollout on @changes.

the sims has always been cartoony af (yes even 3) and people saying "iT LoOkS LiKe CaTs" need to take another look at that movie lmao at least the werewolves have animalistic faces and they're werewolves they have just as many varied depictions as vampires so bUh pUrE wOLvEs tHo isn't a good argument

it feels strange to me now that undertale garnered such a reputation for being edgy due to fan interpretations when the game itself is just SO earnest and sentimental that it hurts. like, it's a game about connection and friendship and love and it's so forward with that message that it gets silly with it, but that's just because it really really wants you to care. it's the least cynical game i've ever seen, even on it's worst routes

bigshotarchitect-deactivated202

you guys are SO right

Speedrunners have ruined their entire speedruns of Undertale last second because they chose to hug Asriel at the end. The game is so impactful that even speedrunners, understandably disregarding everything about the game except for what they need to memorize in order to get the fastest time for their sport, have seen Asriel and couldn't help but let him know in his last moments that they forgive him.

reblog this and tag with a food you no longer have access to (closed restaurant, state you moved away from, ex’s mom’s cooking, etc) that will haunt you until your dying day, mine are the spicy chicken sandwich on the employee menu at the fine dining restaurant I was a prep cook at, and the onion bagel from the kosher place down the street from my house when I lived in the city

i have no means of playing elden ring for myself but can i just say i find it both hilarious and brilliant that the steed you have for the entire game is a little magical pony

from gameplay stance it's genius because it keeps your hitbox almost even with most field enemies you're gonna be hit-and-running without the frustrations of constant misses and i also assume more control with a smaller ride

and on the other hand you're some badass undead(??) warrior in an unforgiving ruined land of darkness and death, and you're just riding around on this little dinky magical pony with a cartoonish size contrast and it's just endearingly hilarious to me

Self Insert Week 2022

Six years ago, Tumblr user @the-alligator-queen-blog began an annual tradition called Self Insert Week: a weeklong challenge/jam/etc where participants are encouraged to make fanworks with themselves as the main character.

This year, this storied Tumblr festival will begin on Sunday, May 8th, and last through Saturday, May 14th.

Why participate? Well, in its founder’s own words, it’s “a fun reason to make ourselves into the awesome characters we daydream up while going about our normal lives”.

But it’s also a strike back at the common tendency to see fanwork – and creative work more generally – as such Serious Business that it’s not allowed to be openly self-indulgent. People worry so much, these days, about whether their artistic endeavors are “good enough”, or are a credit to their Brand, or whatever. I think that’s sad. Maybe even a little unhealthy, if we do it all the time. What’s the harm, really, if not everything we write is Serious Literature? Who said it had to be? Why can’t we embrace the cringe every now and again, so long as it sparks joy?

So this event is an excuse – carte blanche and imprimatur – to indulge in all the silly fandom escapism you’ve been holding in. Go smooch that Netflix pirate you like in Photoshop. Tell us about the wacky adventures you got tangled up in when you fell into the Dark World. Go wild! There’s no sign-up to participate, no masterpost, nothing like that. Just write, draw, and post your stuff under #self insert week 2022 so that we can all cheer each other on. :)

Yuji Naka: 6 months before Balan Wonderworld release he was removed as director and filed a lawsuit

Yuji Naka: 6 months before Balan Wonderworld release he was removed as director and filed a lawsuit

Famed video game director, Yuji Naka, has lifted the lid on why Balan Wonderworld was released in the unfinished and unpolished state it was in. Mr. Naka says that six months before the 3D platformer was due to be released he was let go as director of the game by Square Enix. When that happened he filed a lawsuit against Square Enix for unfairly dismissing him and the lawsuit has now finished. He…

Living World Season 1: “Flame and Frost” Returns April 19

On April 19, the first episode of Living World Season 1, “Flame and Frost,” will return to Guild Wars 2 as playable content for the first time since the initial release in 2013! As we mentioned in last month’s Studio Update blog, Living World Season 1 episodes will be free additions to the core game and available to all players, permanently. As originally released, Living World Season 1 wasn’t designed to fit within the Story Journal, so we’ve restructured the content to feel more natural alongside our modern content. These old instances didn’t need to be played in a specific order, so we wanted to make sure that Season 1 felt playable in a more linear fashion. We’ve also made small, impactful adjustments to make the story feel complete and fleshed out given these changes. Our standard of storytelling has evolved over the last ten years, so we’ve taken this opportunity to edit some of the older text and add some additional lore books in Episode 1 to meet our current standards and characterization.

Strike Mission: Aetherblade Hideout Challenge Mode

The April 19 update will also contain the first Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons™ Challenge Mode Strike Mission. Challenge Mode is a deadlier take on existing Strike Missions, featuring more complex mechanics for coordinated and well-prepared groups. We’ll continue releasing Challenge Mode versions of the other Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons Strike Missions in the following weeks.
