I hate tswift and her obsessed fans but it’s gonna be real bad when tumblr + twitter collectively realize that all their favorite millionaire celebrities are bourgeois fucks whose individual lifestyles cause more damage than entire communities in the global south, who feel the impact of climate change both sooner and harder. Obviously corporations and the US military are worse, but being “better” than a megacorp or the imperialist murder machine is a low fucking bar, your favorite millionaire is not exempt because they’re doing less damage than Saudi Aramco and Chevron. I don’t care if people casually watch Hollywood movies or listen to pop music, but celebrity worship is a disease. They don’t care about you.
