I don’t blame you! I felt the exact same way as well but reusable pads are actually not as bad as you think!
Here are recommended ways to clean your reusable menstrual pads:
- Soak and Wash: You can soak your pad in cold water and soap to get all the blood out. Just change the water and soap daily if you plan to soak it for a few days, then when you’re ready, wash all the pads together by hand or machine.
- Shower Method: While waiting for the hot water to kick in, put your used pads on the ground and let the water run on it. You can then wash it while showering, hang dry, then reuse it again OR wash it one more time with your clothes.
- Machine Method: We highly recommend using both methods above to at least get the blood out of the pads. Once all the blood is out, you can wash the pads with your clothes.

ive been using this reusable menstrual pads for three years and i have never used a disposable pad again. the difference between the two is mind blowing.
i never thought id actually have a period where i wont feel uncomfortable because im so used to feeling hot while experiencing irritations that makes it seem like im burning down there but for the last three years, i have not felt that way ever again and i do not plan to. it might seem expensive upfront but trust me, it is 100% worth it.
