The internet archive is under attack
The internet archive is so important it’s sooo important to archive digital data to preserve it if you can throw a couple of dollars their way to support them then please do so. Don’t let greedy people and individuals take away the internet archive!
So this is how the night started. Paul F Tompkins and Marc Evan Jackson did their “2 Gentlemen Improv” show first and then a show with members from the Curious Comedy Theater (including me!) afterwards.
My comedy partner, Kyle Stebbins, was playing piano for both shows and the theater was packed so I sat in a chair right behind him. We did not know that the spotlight was going to include me.
Before the second show I was sitting in the greenroom with the cast waiting for PFT and MEJ to return. They walked in and we introduced ourselves. When Paul got to me I said, “I’m Nate” and he recognized me and cracked up.

No one is fucking talking about it but another black man was killed by the same police department that killed George Floyd they killed him 9 minutes after entering his apartment. I should also mention that in my original post I said 9 minutes when I meant to say 9 seconds. He was shot after 9 seconds of them entering the apartment. Heartbreaking.
Also some other information:
- the cops that did this were denied a no-knock warrant in their own precinct so they went to another precinct not very close by to get it. Intent was had.
The cops involved have a very dark and unsettling past.
