Since Smackjeeves was unceremoniously flung into the abyss, KiLA iLO can now be read on my own personal website, where if anything happens to it it’s my own fault. There’s also a backup on Tapas.
#Sketchtember - “troubled waters”. Trying to keep in mind that this guy exists in case I want to use him for something else one day
#Sketchtember - no prompt today, just drawing some more faces. I’ll go back to prompts tomorrow- this particular project has 3 designs currently and I wanted to go through expression practice for each one.
#Sketchtember - “heart strings”
The ‘heart harp’- traditionally forged by dwarven shieldmaidens out of their retired weapons and their enemies’ entrails- is difficult to play without losing a hand, sounds bad and smells funny. Nowadays they are mostly used for photo opportunities.
Some families aren’t sure why they have one, or how/why it turned up in the kitchen when they are quite certain they stored it in the deepest part of their basements/personal mines.
#sketchtember 1 - "A little bird told me"/"birds of a feather"
After I went to the trouble of making model sheets I naturally used characters that don’t have model sheets on the first prompt... (that generic-looking bird is by no means ready to have a model sheet)
I know these are inked and not actually sketches. The sketch version was an incomprehensible mass of lines.
I will be doing Sketchtember starting tomorrow, with the goal to do a sketch a day using a list of prompts I scraped off deviantART and wrote in a notebook a while ago. If anyone is looking for a prompt list I’m using ATrue’s list of 100 cliches, which was apparently intended for poetry at some point, but I don’t write poetry. Since there are 100 prompts and 30 days of September I won’t be doing all the prompts and might not be doing them in order. I also might not manage to do every single day. I also might not get something worth posting every day.
I’m going to try to work on some character design WIPs I have. I made model sheets for the ones I want to most focus on to start the month, so at the end of the month I will have a comparison point for what I’ve done with the design. Since these are in-progress designs, and terribly rough, and not great, I don’t want to post these beginning point model sheets on Tumblr where they might get reblogged and end up out of context somewhere on the internet (though I might post them at the end of the month, as a before and after type of thing).
However, they are posted to my website blog so I have a timestamped starting point.
TL;DR ‘designsketchtember2022′ is the tag to block if you’re not interested
#fantasy_doggust - Unicoi (borzoi + unicorn)! A nice opportunity to use Clip Studio Paint’s ~*~sparkle brush~*~
The last prompt on the list was an artist’s choice prompt and I probably won't do it so, in case this is the last doggust, uh, now is a good time to shill my book! I have art books with illustrations of dogs! You can buy it on my website! And, now that this prompt challenge is (probably) finished, you can also view a gallery of all the art on my website here.
