The X-men’s Hellfire Gala comic came out today. So I did Jono again in his outfit I designed.
It’s my headcanon, what with the fact Jono can’t eat or drink, that he can use his telepathy to piggyback on others’ drunkenness. What I call being pissed up by proxy. So you can imagine doing that in the Hellfire Gala ( the Mutants own Met Gala) with so many drunk folks he’s gonna be waaaasteeed.
He also made his costume himself out of a few old leather items he had lying around. Jumbo Carnation (mutant designer) wasn’t happy but begrudgingly agrees it’s very him. Angelo and Jubilee keep teasing him that he’s like a male Catwoman. His Tim Burton crush is showing.
He also keeps suggesting Dazzler play The Cure or The Smiths which she refuses on behalf of not depressing the guests. Though she does a cracking Sisters of Mercy Corrosion cover for him.

Oh man anon, you reminded me I did Jono’s Hellfire Gala costume months ago. Was going for a mix between his goth look, with a bit of Adam and the Ants (and New wave fashion) in there XD Wanted to express in fashion the first thing that was said to describe him in his first ever design in Generation X.
“What’s left of an angry young man. Scarred, cultured. A ‘Psionic howl from the grave type’. Attitude problem.”
Didn’t get round to posting as I wanted to clean it up a bit. But, I may do a proper painting of it soon in time for the new Gala. I wasn’t very happy he didn’t appear last year. Fingers crossed for an appearance this year, aye!

Found a really cool ref I just had to draw and decided to turn it into a Chamber piece. Don’t think it quite worked as I prefer drawing him less realistic, but ah well, good practice.
