So, while I have seen a few younger Cronii, none of them so far have fitted my headcanon so here are three different-aged Cronii.

From left to right

6 Sweep/13y old Cronus is p much what we heard about him in openbound, troll Harry Potter but with underlying intentions. However, this is the only version I ever see of him and though it is cute, let’s remember these guys spent THREE SWEEPS in the game. Three sweeps as in about six years which is most likely around a third of their life. So while sure, six sweep Cronus was probably a dorky and attention-seeking Harry Potter I don’t think he stayed that way. Especially when you keep in mind that a big reason he did the wizard schtick was because of the attention he hoped to gain from it. Though I do believe he really did believe in magic for some time.

7,5 Sweeps old Cronus would be about fifteen, I guess this is around the time where his thoughts about magic and most importantly his identity (as a wizard as well). It is also likely he has at this point become VERY good at magic. He is most likely still trying to make the wizard thing work, through testing different statuses as a wizard.

9 sweep (~19y) Cronus has basically given up and is as far as I know the Cronus we all know and hate love. He is mostly sticking with the wizard thing because it’s the only thing he knows how to do, not to mention he has no idea what else he should try. His attitude towards the game has throughout it changed wildly, which has to do with his status as a Bard of Hope. On one hand he doesn’t want to give up, because it would make all their efforts meaningless and was there really not more things he wanted to do than this? On the other hand he is thrown into fits of hopelessness and despair. Also he is walking around in old and gay as fuck robes so he is basically just a depressed new ager.

(I know the sprite silhouette shows short hair on Cronus even before he dies, but then again Eridans horns are at one point backwards.)
