[[Everyone relevant in the center knows about their relationship (I talked about it before over Here ) and what they do. Doesn’t mean they’ve seen what happens, necessarily, but some people may or may not have accidently walked in on steamy situations during off hours when there’s no visitors and only staff remains.

I had actually planned to make a mini comic about that, but haven’t yet had the time to do it. However, I’ve always imagined their situation would be quite complicated, since merfolk were fairly new to the staff and Eren himself, and at first they didn’t know how similar or different to humans they are.

Merfolk aren’t so different to humans when choosing a partner or “mate”, they find someone compatible with themselves, in terms of aesthetic appeal and things such as strenght, smarts, etc. Basically, a good pod mate with whom to build their own pod, perhaps, a family if you will. So, when Levi decides Eren is a suitable mate, he starts courting, he sings to him, dances to him, brings him food and little trinkets he finds, etc. Your typical courting ritual that to be honest, is also not so different to what humans do when trying to win another person’s affections.

Merfolk think and feel almost the same way about sexual intimacy as humans, with obvious differences like how their bodies work vs ours, or specific behaviours that may be conducted slightly different. They only real actual difference, is the language and the fact that Levi can't speak. Which was eventually easily solved through sign language.

The point is, Levi was completelly aware of what was going on between them, and was the first to make a move and show interest. Eren, however, wasn’t so sure it was right, which is why nothing happened at first. It took time, lots of conversations and awkward explanations of body functions as well as cultural aspects, like what a “mate” is and what it means for merfolk, and it’s closest equivalent to humans, and so on. Until everyone, but more specifically Eren was sure that merfolk are as intelligent as humans, as sentient and conscious, then things progressed. It wasn’t all at once (I also explained it further Here ), there were uuh... “Exploration” sessions, and they slowly built trust until they were comfortable enough to go through all the way. Some times it was funny, some times it was awkward, feelsy, unsuccessful. Insecurities were had, but, ultimately, they stuck around. ‘Cause it just... Works.]]

How much taller are Armin and Bert compared to the others in the Titan school au? Also, unrelated but kind of related, have you ever done a design of how you imagine Erwin could've looked like as the colossal titan?

It’s a very good question, Tish! And we haven’t decided yet lol, the heights are a little bit all over the place right now. But I guess they are somewhat taller than the other titans?? Technically they should be…

About the Erwin thing: I never imagined him as the Colossal titan before, and I tried to figure out how he would look like yesterday… and this is what I came up with. DESIGNING COLOSSAL TITANS IS WEIRD, the fact that you can only use muscles and bones to make him distinct is interesting but tough haha. His eyes would definitely stay the same… he’d be one creepy titan <3
