SWORDTEMBER DAY 14: WITCH

"The soft crunch of a twig sounded from the treeline, and the witch whirled around. Emerging from the shadows, she saw dark silhouettes and the glint of metal. No weapon at hand, alone, she gritted her teeth and waited for the inevitable. One last prayer to the trees, one last look at the sky. Until, from her cottage, came the frantic tap tap of little claws on the floor. Running through the grass, was a teapot. With a resilient squawk and a flurry of feathers, the brave Yamayaga jumped into the hand of its witch, shifting to a sharp, shadowed blade. The figures stepped back, and the witch smiled. The little teapot cooed. No one messes with her ma."

Yamablade! For those of you unfamiliar with these guys I've posted about them a few times before, there's more lore for them here and here ! I would love a little brood of these myself :')

God I love this version

spectacular version. Tennant and Tate are on fire. Their comedic and dramatic chops are outstanding. They both should have gotten Tonys for this production. Tennant has always had the gift of making Shakespeare sound spontaneous and contemporary, but Tate more than holds her own with him.
