hey man what a beautiful bird you have there I'm looking forward to adquiring a pair of masked ones, any advice abut how to pet them and turning them into my pals?
It depends really if they are hand raised. If they have been hand raised from the start, then they will not be afraid of your hands. It also depends how old they are, and whether they have gotten used to and attached to their owners. If you're getting them from a shop I would ask those questions :) in any case, they are very forgiving and patience will win them over.

Thanks guys. Yeah I know she feels nesty and she has laid an egg before sometime last year. I’ve just never seen her do that thing with the wings and grunting so I got worried and thought it might be stuck, but she eats and poops fine. I think she wants to mate! The horny girl. Thanks for all the answers, I searched up this behaviour and I couldn’t find anything. @kirgirlin she has a sort of area in my drawer - where I put a box with the lining, but she doesn't use it :( it is hard to check her at the moment she wants to bite me. Hahaha
So I'm sitting at my desk and she's in her cage - but then I sort of hear her grunting and I see her doing this for at least 5 minutes. I initially thought she wanted to lay eggs cos she's been shredding paper like crazy these past couple of weeks. Her poop is the same and her appetite is okay. Does anyone know what's up?

Thanks for the messages everyone, I’ve just been really busy with my thesis which is due soon. I haven’t had time to pen my thoughts nor post anything up. It’s just a blur of coffee and word documents - driving me insane :) I’ll have more time soon

such an incredible person who really cherished animals, his death will always hurt my heart. always
gets bitten on the neck by a snake. "Can you get a close-in on this?" I will never not love this man with all my heart.
So gentle. Obviously I didn’t know him in person but the way he didn’t react in anger here seems to show a very kind spirit. I wish people wouldn’t joke about how he died. People wouldn’t joke about a firefighter who died in a fire. Steve was all about showing us that even dangerous animals deserve our admiration, respect, and even a sort of affection, and that was something worth doing, even if he seemed goofy and silly sometimes.
I wanted to BE this man as a kid. I did. The world was so scary and he was always so excited about it all, I wanted to be excited too. I hate jokes about his death and how people talk about him like he was crazy. He was alive. He loved every single day he was on this planet and if that’s something people think is worth ridicule, then that just makes me feel sorry for them.
I love Steve Irwin.
