Do you like vintage scientific illustrations?

Do you like not spending huge amounts of money on them?

They got pretty much everything!! Vintage maps, mushrooms, flowers, trees, bugs, birds, corals, fish, palm trees, feathers, tropical fruits, you name it!!

They even got some works of my dude Ernst Haeckel on there!!!!

I could go on and on but I suggest you check it out yourself. Personally, I will be covering my entire apartment with these once copyshops are open again. But even if you don’t want to do that, just browsing all these beautiful illustrations is a great way to spend your time.

Have fun and stay save!

Quinton Reviews is right now talking about how this editor he had tried repeatedly to force herself into a romantic relationship with him, and then when it didn't work and she had to be let go she made it her mission to go across all of social media to say she was underpaid and leave out the "and also he rejected romantic advances from me" bit.

However, you look at Sarah Z and she's out here on Tumblr like "it's a huge red flag to vent to your fans, what did you think would happen 💅". Lady Emily, a co-writer for Sarah Z, is going on twitter like "you know, I learned in film school that if everyone doesn't hang out with someone, it's for good reason."

The reason? Well, Quinton Reviews was socially awkward to Sarah Z and Lindsay Ellis in the DMs in like 2021 and they've just... never let it go?

Quinton is literally a victim here. He's providing a complete timeline of events, he's owning up to the payment stuff, and is showing that this is someone being vindictive because of a rejection. But those two (and Dan Olson hopped on, too) are like "this is your fault, you're a creep for [no reason given]"

this shit sucks! hate this fucking people!!

Context:

Thank you for adding the video link! Another thing that I wanted to bring up, now that I've finally watched the whole thing through, is that Quinton very obviously doesn't want to come off as a creep and he says as much in his video. The Editor didn't bring up any issues with Quinton until after the romantic rejection. Then it was all about how The Editor didn't get paid enough, and The Editor was editing way quicker than deadlines demanded in order to get into a romantic relationship with Quinton, etc.

If The Editor brought this payment stuff up earlier (she did once before and got paid more immediately!) and not after trying to coerce Quinton into a relationship he wouldn't have any issue paying her. But now, if he was to pay her, it would look like he's being a creep and trying to pay hush money!

Now, I wonder why Quinton would feel like people are looking for ways to call him a creep?

Like... this thing with Sarah Z and Ellis happened in Jan 2021, then in October 2021 this thing with his editor happens. He gets called a sex pest for being awkward in the DMs, he's getting called a sex pest now because he turned down a romantic relationship with an editor... what the hell!

And I still cannot believe that Sarah Z and people in her orbit would victim blame Quinton like this. Fucking abhorrent behavior from these people!!

Are we sure that Sarah Z's vague post was about Quinton Reviews and not about Colleen Ballinger (aka Miranda Sings), who is actively being massively criticized for her inappropriate relationships with fans? One of the major points of criticism for Colleen is that she would vent about her divorce and inappropriate things to underage fans in a private group chat, which is now being shared with the world due to the inappropriate and frankly unacceptable conduct. Colleen's best friend Korey was also in these chats and would tell these underage fans that they were his only friends, and that no one irl hangs out with him because he's a "loner and a loser".

I'm not dismissing the possibilty that they're vague posts about Quentin, I'm just wondering if there is evidence that he is for sure the subject of these vague posts when there is this other highly public situation that kind of matches the sentiments expressed?

Sarah Z’s tags mention it’s about multiple people. Even if it’s about Ballinger, and you’re reading her in the best possible light, it’s obviously not just about her according to her own words. At worst, considering the timing of when she posted it, she saw Quinton Reviews post his video about how he was harassed for the better part of two years because he romantically rejected a fan-turned-employee over ethical concerns and decided “yes, now is the time to talk about how you shouldn’t vent to your fans because it inevitably leads to bad situations, and people should really do better” that can easily, if not purposefully, be read as victim blaming.

Appreciate the additional context. I've been digging into it more after I posted that reply, and I'm definitely a lot more sus of Sarah in this whole situation. Regardless of who this was directed at, I find it very irresponsible to be vague posting about very serious matters when she has such a sizable audience. And then to quietly delete those comments without clarification is equally irresponsible, since the damage has already been done. Like, if she wants to say something, she should say it with her chest or say nothing at all. I hope that she addresses this instead of ignoring it. And if she does address it, I hope it's with compassion instead of derision.

I have some bad news. Despite her original post saying it was about multiple people, she’s now saying it’s about Ballinger.

So, the way I see it, there’s two options:

One, she is lying now. It was about multiple people, and singling out one person and being like “it’s not about anyone else you may be thinking of! Not everything is about Twitter!” is a deflection.

Two, she was lying before. It was about Ballinger, but she for some reason wanted to make it seem like it wasn’t.

I think your read on it is good. None of these people should be vague posting about this stuff. Say what you wanna say, or don’t say anything. Especially when you’re being purposefully vague and leaving doors and excuses open for yourself. Especially when like… the post about “venting to your fans” can be read as venting to your fans! It’s all very high school, “I’m not touching you”, clique behavior. Bad stuff! Don’t like it!

y'know, if you don't know what something is referring to, you could just like, ask instead of making a viral post assuming? it is not as if i have you blocked (i don't know who you are tbc). i watched a video about colleen, it got me thinking about the general trend of creators doing this (many such cases!), i made a post. i promise it is really not that deep.

honestly kinda interesting how this whole post is about listening to the person being accused of something but nobody thought to ask Sarah Z about the thing she was being accused of
