A photo set to public, my mistake, but obviously not intended for public viewing, should be sneakingly taken from my FB and used inappropriately. Then hate towards Kate for simply defending the privacy of her family, it's the second time of asking not to then trying to smear her name is disrespectful. Her response was accurate and yours was inappropriate.

When Kate first asked me to take down a photo of her and Adam, I apologized profusely & removed everything but press photos, screen caps & other pubic images from my blog. Nothing has changed. I haven't posted since November. Wherever those photos came from was not from this blog. I'm not the only one with access to the internet, the photos are out there and have been for years

I was not the one who put them there. I haven't encouraged anyone to hate on Kate. She said what she said & if people dislike it, that's on her. I'm not the only fan she's been rude to on Instagram either.
I also haven’t used anything “inappropriately”. I showed a picture of Adam. I repeat, once objections were made I deleted all family taken/involved photos from my account, of which there were not a lot. I’m not new at this.

Before yesterday, I hadn’t posted anything here since November, hadn’t even opened the app. A question about where the photos came from would’ve gone a long way to clearing up the confusion rather than a nasty, lecturing demand. Again, I respect your privacy and will going forward because that’s how I’ve always done things. I can’t control what others do and I won’t be spoken to like a naughty child. I wish you & your family the best, always have.
ETA: I’ve just remembered the image Kate objected to originally wasn’t even posted here, she posted it to her Insta & I linked to it! I don’t believe I’ve ever posted any other photos from Facebook or anywhere else on this blog, I could be wrong, 5 years is a long time, but I’ve never hesitated to take down anything anyone found objectionable- which by the way has happened twice in the 10 years I’ve been on this site. Seems like my name’s being smeared, not the other way around.
UPDATE: I was tired and irritated by a couple of different things when this went down yesterday but after a night of thought & discussion with friends & family, the blog is staying. Aint done nuffink and I want the OG Adam fan blog to stay for historical purposes.

I fucked up & posted a cropped version of a personal photo posted by a family member of Adam’s a while back. I realize now that was dumb & invasive & just cropping the other people out isn’t good enough. I knew it then but y’all, resisting the joke is hard.
Sooo, if you come across a pic on the social media account of a relative of Adam (or any celebrity, tbh) just be respectful & don’t post it, ok? Cool cool cool.

I started this side blog in 2015 or so because I saw Adam in Banished, thought he was an incredible, charismatic actor who was going places. There was NO info out there on him & 0 fan blogs here or anywhere. His popularity has grown immensely since then and I’m extremely glad about that.
I followed his sister on Instagram at first just to see if she’d post pics of Adam. However, I stayed with her account because she is also talented, gorgeous & charismatic. Her singing is absolutely lovely. She messaged me early on regarding photos taken from her mom’s Facebook, she didn’t like it. I get it, completely.
I apologized & thought I had removed all personal photos from this blog but I could’ve missed some & you can’t vanish things from the internet as we all know. Once they’re there, they’re stuck.
I got the above message from Kate today & frankly, fuck this. Did I go to his mom’s Fb & get photos in 2015? Yep. Did I post cropped versions of those photos here? Yes. When she objected I attempted to take them down. There are other accounts on Insta & elsewhere who have to problem posting everything they find & that’s their business, not mine. I feel like I’ve been entirely respectful to Kate Nagaitis and mindful of their family’s privacy and encouraged others to do so as well. Like I said to her, I’ve literally not been to his mom’s Fb page in YEARS and she randomly followed me a week or so ago so I followed back. I’ve been out of the loop for a few months because of cancer plus I’m not the Adam police so if stuff’s going on I’ve missed it. I won’t be spoken to like that by anyone.
I’ve said all that to say I’m deleting this blog and the Blazing Adam YouTube account. I’ve got too much shit going on to deal with this hassle. If there’s anything you want, video or image wise, get it before it goes away. I’ve had a great time with you guys & I wish Adam all the best. I’m still watching & supporting everything he does.

Some highlights from Adam’s talk at Bronte2020
I was lucky to have a chance to attend the Brontë2020 conference earlier this month and hear Adam Nagaitis’ talk. These are just a few things that stand out in my memory. Hopefully a recording of the conference talks will be available soon.
- Adam’s looking fine. His hair’s gotten longer, to his shoulders now. He seems okay in his cottage hideaway.
- At the beginning of his talk, the moderators gave him a trivia quiz on Branwell. It was a struggle, and I don’t think he was expecting it, but he got the answer about Branwell’s first name correct.
- He could not remember off the top of his head what were some of the resources he used to research Branwell’s life but there were a lot of them (which struck one of my potential questions off the list).
