Black Power is for Black Men

@blackpowerisforblackmen / blackpowerisforblackmen.tumblr.com

#BlackPowerIsforBlackMen is a blog exposing how frequently black men have overlooked the struggles/issues of black women.

A negro Bedwench is a self hating slave minded coon whore that prostitutes herself to white men just because they are white. Basically the female and feminine version of a Sambo. The female version of an Uncle Tom is a Mammy/Aunt Jemima

This kushitekalkulus guy has a photo of Kanye West as his profile pic, a black man who is married to a non-black woman. LMAO 😂 🤣 But, Black Women who date/marry white men are negro bedwenches. Interesting how Black women who date white men/non-black men are called negro bedwenches but Black men who date white women and non black women aren’t called bedwenches.

Hello! Can you please signal boost this? There is a new blog called blackpowerisforblackmen.

  • It’s a safe space for black women
  • This is mainly a space where you can submit your own #blackpowerisforblackmen statements. For example: #blackpowerisforblackmen because black on black violence never includes sexual violence against black women. (cite)

The blog is about how frequently Black men have overlooked the struggles/issues of Black women.

Thanks!

Thanks for the shout out! ✊❤️

Black Panther convinced my aunt to stop trying to make my cousins relax their hair because of all the beautiful things done in styling the actors in the movie so just chalk that up as reason 100000000009 we need more black films.

How niggas handle colorism:

Dark skinned women: “we want to be valued in our community, respected, and not seen as inherently wrong for existing”

Niggas: “don’t worry my melanated kween chocolate sexy black niggerita goddess I will reassure you that I……… would definitely put my dick in you. Because like… y’all are sexy af and your melanated genes are pure and you are the true woman… uh… eve gene… uh…. khemetic royalty…. um…. shit…. I respect and adore you cuz…. um.. y’all ass look good when it’s greased up….. hotep”

niggas with ankhs are always calling black women nubian goddesses.

until black women do something they don’t like, of course.

but if i’m such a goddess…

why would i concern myself with some irrelevant mortal’s opinion?

Black Male Hypocrites

Black Man: I stand with black women my Nubian Chocolate Princess Sistah Queen
Black Woman: *speaks about instances of her dehumanization*
Black Man: Bitch shut up. People are dying. Don't nobody give a fuck about you and your problems. Trayvon Martin is dead! Think about that!

Not only is Samuel L Jackson a highest grossing actor of now, but then you have Denzel Washington, an actor that never has any bad movies. All his movies are awesome. I haven't seen a bad movie by him. I do mean with him in it, but whatever.

Avatar

Well, this is true. There are some Black male actors who are leads in high grossing films. For example, Will Smith is the only actor to have eight consecutive films gross over $100 million in the domestic box office, and 11 consecutive films gross over $150 million internationally and the only one to have eight consecutive films in which he starred open at the number one spot in the domestic box office tally. He is ranked as the most bankable star worldwide by Forbes. 17 of the 21 films in which he has had leading roles have accumulated worldwide gross earnings of over $100 million each, five taking in over $500 million each in global box office receipts. More so, as of 2014, his films have grossed $6.6 billion in global box office.

BUT, just because a small percentage of black male actors have gained international success doesn’t mean there isn’t racism and colorism in Hollywhite Hollywood. It’s similar to saying racism no longer exists because we have a black president and Oprah Winfrey.

Also, what about black actresses? You only listed black male high grossing actors.

There aren’t that many high grossing black actresses who have achieved international success.  I can only think of Halle Berry and Zoe Saldana. [notice how both of these actresses are light skinned black women and the men you and I have listed are dark skinned black men].

So yeah, I want the Annie movie to be successful.

The amazing Adesuwa Aighewi called out the ignorant Russian model Irina Shayk for posting this offensive picture.

No no no but do you understand? SEX SELLS. She accomplished just what she set out to do and that was to get this important message viewed. It may not be ‘socially acceptable’ but who the hell cares. If people are made to not forget this, i don’t care if she shaved the message in her pubic hair.

Bloody hell. Seriously, Oyinbo shut the hell up. The audacity of western white women talking over us. This photo is disrespectful and detrimental to the girls who were kidnapped and their families. This is not liberating, this photo can endanger their lives. This is why I loathe western feminists, you’re not a Nigerian woman, not even an African woman, you have no right to talk over us. If you really want to help us, shut up and listen, do not tone police our voices and/or post photos like this.

(TW: Nazism)

What if you discover you’re the granddaughter of an infamous Nazi war criminal.

Jennifer Teege, a 44-year-old Nigerian-German woman from Hamburg, Germany was horrified to learn that her grandfather was a Nazi mass murderer.  She learned that she is the granddaughter of Amon Goeth, the former SS commandant of the Plaszow-Krakow concentration camp in Poland, where more than 8,000 people were murdered. Goeth was depicted as a sadistic killer by Ralph Fiennes in “Schindler’s list.” Teege was born from an affair her German mother, Monika Hartwig, had with a Nigerian student. Her mother placed her in an orphanage when she was just four weeks old.

A foster family took her in when she was 3 years old and then adopted her when she was 7. As a child, Teege saw her biological mother and her grandmother occasionally, but they never breathed a word about who her infamous grandfather was.

Teege describes her horrifying discovery in a new book she co-authored: “Amon: My Grandfather Would Have Killed Me.”

She’s told German journalists: “He would have regarded me as a sub-species.”

Teege learned about the family legacy by chance five years ago when she was drawn to a book with a red cover and a woman’s picture in Hamburg’s central library, which has 350,000 volumes. The book titled, “I Have to Love My Father, Right?” was a biography of her mother, who was pictured on the cover.

Teege’s book was published in Germany last fall and currently ranks third on the best-seller list for Der Spiegel, the leading weekly magazine. An English edition is planned for spring 2015.

Mrs Teege’s mother aged 18, left, and her grandmother, right, at Plaszow concentration camp:

Black girls can suffer from Depression.

Black girls can suffer from Bipolar Disorder.

Black girls can suffer from Schizophrenia.

Black girls can suffer from Eating Disorders.

Black girls can suffer from OCD.

Black girls can self-harm.

Black girls can be suicidal.

Many of us are afraid and embarrassed to seek help because of the detrimental “strong, confident black woman” stereotype, and the belief that mental illnesses are “white girl problems”.

We need to eradicate the notion that mental illnesses are “white girl problems”.  Black girls suffer from mental illness too.
