here is some advice:
when someone says “i love you”
or “you look beautiful”
don’t ask why.
don’t question it.
oxygen is precious
and words are a treasure.
and they gave up both
because they found you worthy
enough to hear them.
say “thank you”
and move on.
accept that you are deserving
of kindness and tender praise.
