Doom Patrol is getting a second season — and a second home.
The series has been renewed for a second season, executive producer Jeremy Carver told the crowd at Comic-Con Saturday evening. The show will air simultaneously on its original home, DC Universe, and on parent company WarnerMedia’s forthcoming HBO Max streaming platform. Season two is set to premiere in 2020; an episode count hasn’t been determined yet.

Happyhoganon: How popular do you think the Batman Beyond show will be years from now?
Hard to say. It definitely has sticking power compared to other DC cartoons from around the same time…not JLU or Teen Titans, of course, but people don’t talk about Static Shock or The Legion of Super-Heroes or Zeta Project or even Superman The Animated Series nearly as often. I mean, it’s still has running comic tie-ins, even though I think its a different timeline/canon now. So it’ll certainly be remembered for a good long while, at least so long as Batman Beyond comic runs keep coming out every couple of years.
