sleeping in the same bed for the first time: Erwin Smith
- this poor man carries so much on his shoulders both physically and emotionally that it's a huge task to get him to genuinely relax with you in bed
- after A LOT of convincing, he's ready to go to bed with you
- his mind races too much though so you'll have to pin him down onto the bed to get him to rest
- He's very similar to Hanji in that he'll work and work until he physically can't and then just pass out somewhere in his room
- But if he loves you enough he'll allow himself to be convinced to join you in bed at a resonable hour
- He's not too much of a cuddler but he loves it when you lay your head on his chest as he lays his hand on your back so he can feel it rise and fall with your breaths
- but when you both fall asleep he likes to sleep butt to butt
- wears boxers and nothing else to bed but will put on pants the first time you sleep in the same bed because he doesn't want tp make you uncomfortable
- he snores LOUD af like a big bear 🐻
- if you bring it up the next morning he'll get all red and embarrssed and will deny it adamantly
- like the rest of the veterns he has some pretty bad nightmares but he's very lucky in that they're not really night terrors he just wakes up upset and disoriented but not enough to bother you as you sleep
- in a modern au not much is different except that he sleeps with a night light;not because he's scred of the dark but just because it's comforting to him
- he also sleeps with nothing but a top sheet like a savage and is so confused when you try to get him any other blankets because:
- "why would i need another one..? i have this one" holds up the thinnest most raggedy looking top sheet to ever exist
- i just don't picture him to be someone that prioratizes cuddeling before/during bed but he does like to spend that time with you reguardless and if you want to cuddle up to you he'll of course let you
- in short the big man needs someone to force him to sleep because he's so dedicated to his work that he often forgets that he needs rest 🥺

I rewatched ONE AoT episode last night, bc I needed a screenshot of a scene, and I didn't really WATCH it. I just kept skipping forward to get to where I wanted to.
And STILL I had extremely gory nightmares just now, disgusting disgusting scene after scene of different creative ways of being stepped on and crushed by titans, and even by Eren's titan as it stared down at me from above the wall and then jumped down on me and.. eww.. And this horrible music in the background that still plays in my mind T - T I'm very much disturbed.
I'll stay awake for a bit and then go back to sleep after I feel better. But at least now I'm sure I'll neverrrr rewatch AoT ever. Not even to see Erwin again.
