Henry Propaganda.
Wilbert Awdry (for those who don't know, he was the original author of The Railway Series) actually had a model of Henry... and that model pretty much inherited all of it's storybook counterpart's mechanical issues.
It never worked right, and gave Awdry constant trouble whenever he tried to run it.
It's still around today, albeit in an incomplete condition, because Awdry was partway through a project to try and rebuild it when he passed away.
Henry is so diseased, his illness transcended fiction and entered reality in this model train!

Henry sweep 2k23 It got mentioned before but Henry's entire thing in the original books and subsequent TV adaptation was that he was built faulty and sick as fuck all the time, and he only got better after having a crash so bad he was rebuilt from the ground up and it was intended from then on he wouldn't need special coal to run anymore because of the rebuild except in the show, in season 10, he starts needing special coal again with 0 explanation as to why this gets used as a plot point multiple times in multiple seasons under different producers Mans is so diseased it transcended continuity

the reason why Henry is here in the first place is because of his small firebox, which gives heat to boil the water to make him move, and when given bad coal(coal that burns less well or is just not good) he starts having trouble,
from 1919 to 1935 he's had this design fault due to being stolen and rejected plans from the real life engineer, sir Nigel gresley, the guy who was building him found out about these faults to late and Henry was complete, and the NWR (the railway he works on now) was going through a engine crisis since it was still begining, and Henry was unknowingly part of a ploy to get him off his builders hands, and sir topham hatt canonically cursed "that ____ _____,____ sent me this"(we don't get to see what he said really)
Even with all the replacement parts, Henry still was sick, and Sometime, topham climbed on with his crew, and wanted to see what happened with him, his crew said that they needed special coal (Welsh coal in the books) to operate with a fair chance, it was expensive, but topham got it for Henry, and of he went as a rocket, energetic as ever
But then in 1935, he was sent to take a fish train named the flying kipper, he did it all, and set off at 5 o clock, but unfortunately ice and snow forced signals to show green, but it was actually red, and the switches were frozen and Henry was sent into a goods train at full speed(in the show it was James's train, but the illustrations in the book don't show), crashing, and after that he was sent to Crewe, a real life workshop which made him into a LMS stanier black 5, a real life Locomotive, now without the need of Welsh coal, but in the show it's not so good, as he was flanderized down to only that in the HiT era, even though he was fixed, and in season 2 of the show he gained back his wheel arches, indirectly making him a Stanier jubilee, a very similar class made by the same guy, just for passenger work
TLDR Henry has small firebox and can't do with bad coal, so better coal is gotten for him, crash in 1935, rebuilt into another engine without the fault, the LMS black 5, or the LMS jubilee post season 2

DEAR SIR:—There has been many a Henry agitprop dropped in your box, but here's a couple'a canon scenes that I don't think have yet been shown to the masses:

To me what makes Henry the Most Diseased Character of this lot is not necessarily that his disease is the worst (I mean I think IT IS but I'm putting that aside for now for the sake of argument lol). It's that he is the REAL.EST sick character.
So many people whose sickness and disabilities are dismissed by the world (often even by their own family and friends!) can relate to this. They DO relate to this! I think that's why many of us Henry stans are so rabid. ;) This representation? It's so, so, so important.
Anyway, vote Henry as TopDiseased so that his shit friends can see that the world recognizes what they did not. Give this poor sick pitiful creature machine the vindication he deserves.

sigh i guess it's time for some newsies propaganda
newsies tells the story of the newsboys' strike of 1899 in new york city, a real historical strike led and organised by the working kids in the city after the newspaper owners increased the prices of their papers.
the musical started off as a film in 1992 starring christian bale and david moscow. the cast was made up predominantly of young people, and is very dance heavy - some of the cast had never danced before the show and were taught on set. it's also the most gay-without-being-gay piece of media i've ever seen.
it was adapted for the stage in 2011 and has since been off-broadway, on broadway (most notably starring jeremy jordan), on tour, and most recently "on the west end" (in quotation marks because technically it's in wembley. but it's the thought that counts).
there is a lot of incredible dancing, with both the broadway production and the uk production winning a tony and an olivier respectively for best choreography. the message of the story is so uplifting. it's dark in places but it's also fun and lighthearted and entertaining and, in the case of the uk production, an absolute spectacle. (not to mention the cast are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet.)
some of the lyrics are amazing.

I’m sorry……newsies over Falsettos…..falsettos a pioneering gay musical well before it’s time that deals fantastically with so many issues over a disneyfied version of a strike……falsettos should win for the sheer reason it’s not Disney and even more because it’s original scrappy and much more representative and just a better show
