The thing is that doctors aren't told what vaccinations do They are just told to give them Immunity is a thing they are not required to take to get a doctorate in college Immunologists do And my mother is a certified immunologist, And is anti vaccine. Because she knows better... And that's all... We are just... Pro choice

Okay I got my laptop finally.

Now friend I’m not sure what exactly you think a doctor does in order to get a medical license but I am pretty damn sure that you have to open a medical textbook at least once in your life. 

Now I have only taken honors biology and intro anatomy/physiology classes, but even I can tell you what a vaccine does? What does this even mean of course a doctor knows what a vaccine does??

Maybe you’re trying to insinuate that they do not know the risks associated with vaccines? I really do not know why the anti-vax community thinks that doctors are idiots and/or conspiring against people (or conspired against, as you are possibly suggesting here) but they’re not. They are knowledgeable. I don’t care how much time you spent reading bullshit conspiracies on the internet. They know more than you.

I know that there are risks associated with vaccines. I know that. But the odds are so slim I think it’s like standing on top of a tall metal building during a thunderstorm because you heard that there was a possibility of being struck by lightning on the ground. (You can talk to your [oh my god] doctor about the risks of vaccines and they can tell you if it’s safe for you or not and the likely/possible side effects) 

Vaccines are effective, and there is no true rebuttal you can make of that. I’ve heard of a lot of people trying to say “Polio and smallpox went away by themselves without vaccines!!1!!”  and “Why get the flu vaccine when its unreliable??? CONSPIRACIES!!”, but honestly pretty much every word out of an anti-vaxxer on the subject just proves how little they actually know how vaccines and immunization.

Now I’m going to assume that you’re not lying about the immunologist mom just for the sake of being civil even though I doubt it very much. This just baffles me. I find it very hard to believe that someone could spend time studying the immune system and then make the decision to not vaccinate, given that vaccines are the best scientific advantage we have against these completely preventable diseases and they work with very high rates of success. Like I said before, there are risks with everything both medical and in day-to-day life. There are risks with surgery, there are risks with taking medicine, there are risks with walking down the street. What’s next, are y'all anti-vaxxers going to start trying to get everyone to stop walking around places because you heard once on Facebook that someone tripped on a crack and broke their leg? Like oh my god I will never understand people against vaccines.
