Show me one, literally just one, example of "they knew the risk when they took the job" being used as literally a reason why killing a police officer should be legal. If you can't, then this is a false comparison.
Also, if you believe that death by the state without trial is a reasonable risk for committing a crime, especially since the state decides what even qualifies as a crime, then don't you dare pretend you care about freedom or constitutional rights. You can't get more tyrannical than that.
