Every single album is going to connect. So Cry Baby is about Cry Baby and the next album (which I think I have a title for but I don’t wanna say anything yet because I don’t know and it’s too early) is a place in the weird town that I’m trying to create and its Cry Baby’s perspective throughout this album. You’re not learning about her, you’re learning about the place that she’s in and her perspective. Down the line for sure I will think of other characters in this world. I’ve already thought about ways to incorporate a character into the second album just by pitching my vocal down.

ok but racism in the 5sos fam isn’t just when people call calum slurs (I honestly can’t believe some of you actually do that by the way) it’s in so many of the subtle things you do too. it’s when writing and fan art is exclusive to white women because those are the only girls you think they’d go for. it’s when poc create blogs and spaces so they can feel more included in the fam and you get mad at us for being ~exclusive~. it’s when non-white fans only get shipped with calum because he’s the most “ethnic looking” so you assume he’s the only one that would go for us because you could never imagine a pale, light eyed boy, the pinnacle of Eurocentric beauty, falling for a girl with our features. it’s when people cheer Michael on for talking about injustice and using his platform to do so, but turn around and tell calum to calm down and be quiet and to not be rude cuz “it was just a joke!” when he’s defending himself against these things. it’s when you get mad at poc for using their blogs to talk about injustice because it makes you uncomfortable but you cheer michael on for tweeting about the same issues. this isn’t a call out post. this isn’t me trying to expose anyone because there are quite a few people guilty of these things. just take a second to think about your behavior and why it might not be inclusive (or why it might be problematic) okay? you’ve got nothing to lose from that

Calum, the rebellious animal nymph. Acts like he doesn’t have a flower crown of branches and leaves permanently weaved into his luscious curls, doesn’t like people intruding on home. Is the reason your cats and dogs mysteriously come back despite being miles away. Probably lays on soft moss, shirtless, petting a deer and talking to a bunny. Extremely witty with a no bullshit policy (even if he’s a fucking nymph)

Luke, the lovely water nymph. Lives up in the trees, but is right by the ponds. Befriends animals and swimmy fishes. Sits in the water like a little merman minus the whole tail thing. Water powers. When he’s scared he gives himself a protective mist and hides. His eye color reflects how he feels and also gives the water it’s pigment. Sad Luke? Muggy grey blue water. Angry? Deep nearly Black Sea

Michael, the weather Nymph! You shaint get him upset, because he is a disaster or a perfect week in the making. Literally glistens and has a yellow halo to him in his natural state? When angry? Yikes retreat if you see black my friends. He usually remains up high, in trees, where he can see the skies and the clouds. Isn’t very active and likes napping, likes people watching. Is the laugh you hear when you fall. Loves making steps icy when you’re least expecting it. When sad, he curls up on the ground in a ball and creates ginormous thunderstorms.

And Finally good ole fashion woodland nymph Ashton. Crown of leaves similar to Calum’s, but is more Peter Pan like (minus the mindset). Is a peace keeper, healer of trees, flowers grow underneath his feet with every single step he takes. Butterflies love him, he sleeps on the ground surrounded by soft flower petals and shielded by his trees. A peaceful little baby. Is the ‘king’ of nymphs, (only in the sense because well he’s the forest but they do need everyone to make it happen)

And when you’re a nymph, you’re also a fucking slut when you’re around others. So you have the soft sweet sensitive aspects of the boys, and then the touchy feely damn feelings. They all coexist in their little forest, and keep the world of nature safe, and it’s fucking great.
