i have, apparently, sprained my foot. how or when i did this is a mystery. went to the urgent care because i can’t really walk on it without feeling like my entire foot is getting smashed by a rock every time I try and put weight on it.

they ordered an xray to make sure it wasn’t broken, which is all as lovely as daisies in spring, but after they confirmed it wasn’t broken, the urgent care doctor didn’t even bother to see me or check out my foot and just sent me on my way with instructions to keep icing and taking ibuprofen, which I’ve been doing for three days, and a flyer on caring for your sprain.

first bullet: walk or put weight on your sprained foot if it does not hurt.

like honestly we live in a city you think they could add some sort of “if you can’t walk 1/2 a mile to get to the train...” bullet

should I get crutches? should I be wrapping this? should i be getting permission to work from home? should I be worried that i am out of town for a bachelorette/wedding for four days this weekend? some instruction would be nice here!!!
