My beautiful koi betta Bisby has had a jumping spider neighbor taking advantage of her tank light to hunt bugs under for some time, and recently they met face to face! Very happy to capture each of them acknowledging the other - and Bisby's quick look back at me as if to say "you're seeing this too right?!" 🧡

I have shitty vision and can barely tell if whatever I'm looking at is a paper bag or a cat but today I was able to see an aquarium on the side of the road and I was able to not only identify it through 3 lanes of traffic but also know roughly what size it was (its a 30 gallon, I guessed 40 gallon at first but hey I was pretty close)

Anyways now I've got a new tank plus the decorations, hood/light and a working fucking filter. Any suggestions? I currently have two bettas (one solo male and one female who lives with some neon tetras and cory catfish) and they're pretty neat but I know I can definitely get some bigger and crazier fish now >:3

yoooo nice score. i'm a sucker for pretty schooling fish and a few gourami. but if you want to try something different you can have a sick ass tank of pea puffers or something :)
