i like to stay up at night because the world feels like it stops for a few hours and you don’t have any responsibilities
try to seek discomfort – something great may come of it

the “unknown” reality of an INFJ
- inner world is well described as playful, imaginative, colorful, mischievous, and daring
- love playing with ideas, perspectives, theories, images, symbols, and metaphors
- tend to come off—appearance wise—as serious, “goody two-shoes,” “know-it-all”, snobby/spoiled types due to how they balance their inner world with outer appearance
- music, films/shows, and people are the highest means of entertainment/amusement and fascination
- stimulating conversations are hard to come by but hard to stop (once the ball gets rolling)
- all for making their ideals become part of their physical reality — the quality of their lives is heavily based on their ambitions
- tend to have a knack for interdisciplinary concepts/topics because of how they synthesize information
- in their eyes, the whole world is full of connected and interrelated, amusing and interesting patterns, themes and similarities — they quickly see connections among disparate pieces of data
- their existence feels dreamlike most of the time because of their intimate relationship with their subconsciousness (they might even apply details of their dream to the real world—e.g. if they have a vivid and bad dream about someone, they might check on them the next day only to find out that person is struggling with some recent bad news or event)
- although not focusing on something or ever setting their eyes on it in a room, they can often times tell if something or someone is ‘off’ or needs inquiry (e.g., they might not know the name of a person or only met them once ages ago, but if they enter that same room after some time and that person is absent, they’ll find a means to check on the person—or ask about them, only to find out something unfortunate recently happened to said individual)
- but their world is moved by logic— logic games, puzzles, books, shows, brain teasers, riddles, etc. are probably their favorite past-time/hobby
- it is through logic they regulate their active imagination, ideals and unique perspectives, that come off to others as “untamed”, magical creativity/“thinking too big”
- they think via images as opposed to words (despite their love for language) because most of their thoughts are based on observations, not so much text
- their natural inclination towards reading emotional expressions and body language helps them relate and understand others so that they can cultivate “happy”/good interpersonal situations(but this also makes group events hard to feel comfortable in because all they see are people’s true faces behind the mask which are often expressing a sadder story, insecurity, or personal struggle)
- they feel deeply and will most often go through a mild depressive episode in private just to help make sense of their own emotions — afterwards it appears to others as though nothing ever affected them
- when upset, they’re not looking for others to solve their problems — a little emotional support, empathy and reassurance is enough for them to not feel alone or as though ‘no one cares’
- they don’t like leaving a bad taste in people’s mouth — but it’s not about being a people pleaser, just more of their own “token” to the world (in their minds, if they were to die today, they wouldn’t want someone’s last memory of them to be a foul one)
- the would appreciate if others didn’t undermine them due to their inability to constantly be attuned to every concrete detail or physical element of life — they do see the beauty in it all (and won’t mind being shared this info through conversations), but their obliviousness is not meant to be insulting
- most of their detecting or observational skills usually serves to naturally take note of unique or particular details (e.g., the odd tree that stands at the corner that no one noticed, or the bright red pin a girl wears in her hair only on Fridays, or the crease on the sides of people’s mouth when they smile at something they like)
- one of their lifelong themes is the process of trusting themselves — it’s not that they doubt their capabilities or potential (in fact, they may think highly of it, but they’ll never lie about what they can do), it’s just sometimes they may detest their inexperience or inadequacies // as a kid, perhaps their biggest motivator to do new things was the fact that they hadn’t done it or tried it (from this discomfort they would convince themselves to trust themselves in any small thing they did)
i can’t believe these things are universal for infjs that’s crazy
What about infj body language?
INFJs are strange in the way that they feel constantly subdued. It’s like if someone took an ENFJ and then turned the volume down to 2. They are warm and kind, but have also been described as being almost “zen-like”. Their very presence is tranquil– not only is their voice quiet, but everything about them. They are extremely chill.
A small guide to INFJ body language:
Upraised eyebrows with a smile, constant eye contact and frequent nodding of the head, small amounts of laughter = “I want you to feel comfortable around me, in order to establish a good rapport with you as well as prevent any conflict between us in the future”
Upraised eyebrows with a small smile, wandering eye contact = “I am not particularly interested in what you are talking about, but I am a slave to social norms and I also still really want you to like me, and feel comfortable around me”
Slightly raised eyebrows with no smile, occasional “mm-hmm” = “I’m either very distracted, or I dislike you and really wish you would stop talking. The only reason I’m still indulging you is because I can’t directly hurt someone’s feelings and tell them to fuck off”
Laughter and/or a smile showing teeth = “I really like you, that I’m actually giving genuine smiles and laughter. For once I am smiling and laughing for myself, and not for the comfort of other people”
Completely blank, expressionless face; blank eyes, no eye contact, no talking = “I am about to have an emotional breakdown, and I refuse to let anyone see, so I am holding it back using every ounce of my mental strength”
holy shit what yea

mbti - who they need in their life.
INTJ, INTP - Someone who can bring warmth to their coldness, light to their darkness, happiness to their depression, but also someone who understands how important the cold, the dark, and the depression is to them.
ENTJ, ESTJ - Someone who can challenge them, keep them entertained and interested yet keep them in their place.
INFP, ISFP - Someone who understands how complicated and simple they are, someone who doesn’t try to fix them or makes sense of them but just embraces them.
ENFP - Someone who takes everything they aspire to be and help them make it a reality, someone who makes them understand that dreams are great but accomplishments are better. Someone who acts like a mirror to them, makes sure they don’t go off the tracks yet, enjoys getting lost within them.
INFJ, ENFJ - Someone who makes them smile without hiding a frown within, someone who brings out the real them no matter how difficult
ESTP, ISTP, , ESFP - Someone who can ride with them to no place in specific yet always knows where to go when things get too overwhelming
ISTJ - Someone who makes them read beyond the words and helps them see beyond the facts and the rules, someone who adds paint to their canvas
ENTP - Someone who takes all the hate and highlights all the positives, someone who is able to truly talk to them and challenge them
ISFJ, ESFJ - Someone who doesn’t need help from them, someone who helps them find what they want for themselves
How to Impersonate the Types
Based on behaviors that everyone of these types do 100%(yes that’s sarcasm).
INTP: Stay awake until you no longer have the willpower to control your train of thought. Search up various advanced theories, preferably science or psychology, on wikipedia until you’re convinced that time is a dependent variable and you are a sociopath. Compensate with hot drinks.
INTJ: Spend all of your money on technology, video games, and music. Stress out internally over every situation. Be extremely competent when it counts but oblivious when it doesn’t. Hide all of your emotions from everyone, save for maybe 1 person if they’re lucky.
INFP: Always look on the bright side and try to uplift others, with bonus points for being very physically affectionate towards your friends. Pick up some assorted hobbies or interests and select a few topics at random to be unnecessarily stubborn about. Harbor immense pain and wait for someone to ask you what’s wrong.
INFJ: Develop obsessions with multiple TV shows on Hulu and Netflix. Find a way to both be successfully productive and procrastinate. Listen to everyone’s problems. Flock to people you admire and absorb everything you like about them into your personality.
ISTP: Refuse to let anything properly anger you and take everything in stride. Be honest and forthcoming about what you think. Express your opinions loudly and definitively. Feed off of success and knowing exactly what you’re good at.
ISTJ: Claim to have no feelings. Climb a tree and sit there to write poetry, paint, feel sorry for yourself, and cry. Deliver perfectly timed comebacks and one-liners with ease. Become obsessed with honesty. Start thinking in patterns. Plan a murder.
ISFP: Say everything on your mind regardless of how others might perceive it. Have good, pure intentions. Avoid focusing on anything for longer than 15 minutes. Travel a lot, for the experience, for the aesthetic, and for the ability to bring it up every 5 minutes when you get back.
ISFJ: Help anyone and everyone who needs it. Always look put-together and calm, even if you’re stressed out. Make witty/judgemental comments under your breath that no one hears. Stay out of drama. Keep most of your feelings from people.
ENTP: Refuse to commit to anything for longer than your attention span. Always have a comeback or witty response. Develop excessive confidence and ambition to mask any inner turmoil or insecurities. If someone asks you what’s wrong, avoid answering by quoting memes.
ENTJ: Attempt to control everything around you. Take the lead in organizing group plans. Aggressively take care of everyone. Push yourself to the point of having lowkey breakdowns and zero free time. Create your own sets of standards for things, and your own exceptions.
ENFP: Become overwhelmed by life. Identify as a partial introvert. Have a love-hate relationship with parties because you want to socialize but not all of the time. In fact, be conflicted by most things. Avoid hurting people’s feelings whenever possible. Somehow always look perfect, even when you’re not trying.
ENFJ: Write an entire story, but without any regard for conventional grammar. Master the “sour grapes” mentality. Always have energy, even when you’re tired. Make friends with everyone. Start listening to country music.
ESTP: Stop reading this post. Go skydive.
ESTJ: Erase any impure thoughts from your brain. Get a job that pays well and is traditionally acceptable. Go out of your way to help people and expect nothing in return. Take control of any projects that people aren’t doing perfectly. Have only perfectly explainable and rational feelings.
ESFP: Attend a party. Socialize with everyone and relish being the center of attention. Judge people, especially fake and self-centered people that make drama out of everything. Love observing the drama those people create. Planning and facebook are your new drugs.
ESFJ: Wear only light and pastel colors. Invite everyone to your parties because you don’t want to leave anyone out. If you aren’t in a relationship, desperately long for one. Become extremely salty. Try not to let people know how much you want their approval. Also, you’re now a mom.
