in spiderverse you have a character with ‘protect trans kids’ up in her room calling her dad a ‘good cop’ and beating up petty criminals. then you have another character with a BLM pin on his bag while he protects atm machines and beats up someone stealing child made nike shoes while his cop dad is painted on a memorial mural that says “rest in power”

there’s also overt, as in actually stated by the character, messaging that vigilantism is good bc it’s another form of “wearing a badge to do what is right”
